Qi Heli, a member of the Tiele tribe’s Qifu clan, named Li He, was a famous soldier in the Tang Dynasty. Qi Heli was originally Tiele Khan. He later led his troops to Tang Dynasty and served as the general of the left army. In the ninth year of Zhenguan, his army was defeated and he married the princess of Lintao.

In the fourteenth year of Zhenguan, he was destroyed. In the 22nd year of Zhenguan, he followed Ashinashel to defeat Kucha and captured King Klib of Kucha. After attacking the Western Turks, he was promoted to General Zuo and became Duke Yun. After that, he led his army to defeat Goguryeo many times. In the second year of Longshuo's reign, the rebellion of the nine Tiele surnames was put down. In the first year of Feng, Qi Heli was ordered to attack Goguryeo and conquered seven Goguryeo cities. In the first year of Zhang Zong's reign, he and Li Ji conquered Dahang, shocked and humiliated the barbarians of the two cities, and went straight to Pyongyang City to capture the King of Goguryeo alive and destroy Goguryeo. Qi Heli was promoted to general of the town army due to his meritorious service, and later changed to Duke of Liang. In the second year of Yifeng, Qi Heli died of illness. He was given as a posthumous gift to the general of the auxiliary state and the governor of Bingzhou, and was buried together with Zhaoling and posthumous title lie.
Many things happened in Li Heli's life, one of which
It is said that from 661 to 663 AD, Liang Zheren, the Minister of Food, was responsible for the construction of the Daming Palace. He planted a poplar tree in the Daming Palace and said to Qi Heli: "This tree is very good and grows quickly. It will grow into a big tree that can be used for shade in a few years." In this regard, He Li did not answer him, but It recited the poem "Many white poplars make people hate the tower, and Xiao Xiaochou kills people". It was Qin Heli's words that made the cultivator Shao Qing suddenly realize that he wanted to pull out the poplar trees he had planted and plant tung trees instead.

So, why does this happen? "The white poplars are full of hatred, Xiao Xiao is worried about killing people" comes from the anonymous "Nineteen Ancient Poems of the Eastern Han Dynasty", which refers to the white poplars neighing when blown by the strong wind, and the cold autumn is worried about killing people. The full text of this poem is: "The days of the dead are sparse, but the days of the living are near. Guo looked straight outside the door and saw only mountains and rocks. The tillers are fields, and the pines and cypresses are wages. The poplars hate the terraces, and the Xiao Xiao worry about killing people! I miss my hometown. , Wanting to return home for no reason." Since then, poplar trees have generally represented images related to death and graves, and some elegies and eulogies also used poplar trees to express grief, especially in the Tang Dynasty.
However, Qi Heli lived in the Tang Dynasty, and Liang Zheren, the grain minister at that time, planted poplar trees in the Ming Dynasty Palace. Although he took a fancy to the poplar's "good growth" characteristics, he ignored the image that the poplar represented. People say that "accompanying a king is like accompanying a tiger." If Li Shimin thought of this meaning of Bai Yang, then Ren Liang's life would inevitably be in danger. It can be said that working together saved the life of Sika Shao Qing.
