A brief introduction to the original poem

Ye Xie's The Original Poetry is regarded as the most logical and systematic theoretical monograph in the history of China's literary theory after Wen Xin Diao Long. In this book, Ye Xie raised the previous mode of studying poetry from the perspective of "poetry teaching" and "poetry method" to the aesthetic level, so it is both a poetics and an aesthetic treatise. The preface of the paper discusses the influence of Ye Xie's family background and life experience on his thoughts, and studies the origin of Ye Xie's "original poems" by investigating the present situation of the literary world in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The text is divided into four chapters, which respectively discuss Ye Xie's views on the subject and object of poetry creation and their relationship, poetry criticism centered on change and the historical contribution of the original poem. The first chapter discusses the object of poetry creation "reason, matter and emotion". After entering the aesthetic field, the natural "reason", "thing" and "emotion" are integrated into the poet's individual "emotion".
