The lake described in the poem "Spring Lake" is the West Lake.

The spring scenery on the lake is picturesque, and the chaotic peaks are scattered around the checkpoint. There are thousands of green hills on the pine row and a pearl in the heart of the moon. Early rice is pumped by the blue carpet line, and the green Luo skirt shows Xinpu. I didn't throw it into Hangzhou, and half of it was this lake.

Remarks: Lake: refers to the West Lake. Luan Feng: A jagged mountain peak. Pine row mountain surface: refers to many pine trees on the mountain. Weight: layer. Moon highlights wave center: the moon is reflected in the water. Blue carpet: refers to early ears connected together, like a green carpet. Luo: Silk fabrics with sparse texture. Pu: cattail, a perennial plant. Stay or linger.

Spring scenery on the lake is a seven-character poem written by Bai Juyi, a poet in Tang Dynasty. The first six sentences of the poem describe the charming picturesque scenery of the West Lake. The last two sentences are straightforward and irresistible heartfelt praise, which highlights the beauty and charm of the West Lake.

With "spring" as the background and "lake" as the center, the whole poem depicts a spring scene of the West Lake with mountains and waters, clear priorities, strong contrast, distinct levels, rich colors and natural muddy scenery.

Creation background

This poem was written in the spring of 824, the fourth year of Tang Muzong Changqing. In the third year of Changqing (822), Bai Juyi went to Hangzhou to be a secretariat in order to avoid the party struggle in the imperial court and seek a job outside. During his three years in office, he sent his feelings to mountains and rivers, accompanied by poetry and wine, and wrote a series of poems chanting the beauty of the West Lake, such as Spring in Qiantang, Spring in Hangzhou and Sunset in Jianglou.

This poem was written by the author when his term of office in Hangzhou was about to expire and he was about to leave office. Although he wanted to go back to the capital, he was reluctant to leave Hangzhou. It was not until May of the 4th year of Changqing that the secretariat of Hangzhou, except the right bastard of the Prince, was appointed and had to go back to Chang 'an. He had the idea of going to Hangzhou and wrote this poem.
