The wonderful world view in the Bible (the original dragon)
The first sentence in the first section of the first volume of the Bible is: "In the beginning, God created heaven and earth. (Chuang 1: 1).
It should be noted that the word "earth" here is singular in the original text and obviously refers to the earth. About the view of the earth in the Bible, it was pointed out 3500 years ago that the earth was suspended in the air, rotating and spherical, and both the eastern hemisphere and the western hemisphere were inhabited, and the earth was as small as dust in the universe. Because it has been introduced in detail in the above questions, I won't repeat it here.
More importantly, "Tian" here is a plural noun in the original text, which should be translated as "Zhu Tian" or "Zhu Tian" and so on. These numerous "days" actually refer to the whole universe and its galaxies and celestial bodies. All this was created by God. As the scripture says: "The heavens (referring to the whole universe) were created by the command of the Lord (the Lord is one of God's holy names, which means there is an eternity), and everything (referring to the celestial bodies in the universe) was created by the breath of his mouth, ... because he said something was wrong and his life stood." (Ps。 33:6,9).
God, what a wonderful revelation this is for the ancients! Because since ancient times, people have always thought that there is only one "sky" in the universe, just like there is only one "earth". The meaning of the so-called "heaven and earth" of the ancients was originally limited to this. Even a century or two ago, almost all astronomers and scientists only knew that there was only one "day" in the universe, and thought that the sun, the moon and all the planets were in this sky. However, as early as 3,500 years ago, the Bible clearly pointed out that there is not one heaven, but many. It can be seen that the wonderful revelation of the "heavens" must not come from people's thoughts, but from the revelation of the Bible, that is, the creator of the heavens. (Sai 45: 18)。
Today, with modern astronomical knowledge, we can better understand the infinite and wonderful significance of the revelation of "astronomical phenomena" than people in previous dynasties. Modern astronomical knowledge tells us that the moon is just a satellite orbiting our earth, and the earth is just one of the nine planets orbiting the sun. The sun is just an ordinary star among about120 billion stars in the Milky Way, all of which revolve around the center of the Milky Way. For example, in a clear night sky, every shining star we see belongs to all the planets in the galaxy except one or two, and they are actually distant suns. However, the range of the starry sky and the number of stars we can see on the earth are still extremely small, because the total number of stars we can see with the naked eye on the earth is only about 6,000, which is only a fraction of the stars in the Milky Way120 billion. It can be seen that the sun, the moon and the starry sky that we can see on the earth are just a tiny space in the Milky Way and an ordinary one in the sky of many solar systems!
In addition, outside the Milky Way, modern astronomy has also discovered many large galaxies similar to the Milky Way, which are called "extragalactic galaxies". Every extragalactic galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars. If each galaxy is regarded as a "sky", the total number of extragalactic galaxies that can be observed today has reached hundreds of billions. And these hundreds of billions of galaxies form a larger celestial system-the total galaxy. .. from this point of view, how accurate it is to use the "heavens" or many "heavens" in the Bible to represent the whole universe and its galaxies and celestial bodies!
The world outlook in the Bible has been introduced wonderfully here, because the above facts detected by modern astronomy have completely confirmed the correctness of the ancient revelation in the Bible. However, as the modern world constantly puts forward various assumptions about the world outlook, I would like to further introduce our Christian world outlook according to the revelation of the Bible. This can be discussed from four aspects: (1) the origin of the universe, (2) the size of the universe, (3) whether there is advanced life on other planets, and (4) where is the throne of God. Let's look at the first question:
The origin of the universe
The origin of the universe: Where did the universe come from? How did heaven and earth come into being? This is a question that people often like to think about. In fact, the scripture quoted at the beginning of this article has given an authoritative answer to this: "At first, God created heaven and earth. Then the Bible further reveals: "The Lord created the earth with his power, established the world with his wisdom, and stretched out the sky with his wisdom." (Leaf 10: 12. Is 40:26).
It can be seen that the earth, moon, sun, stars and other celestial bodies in the universe, and even galaxies, are essentially created by God with his infinite ability and wisdom. In other words, everything in the universe is essentially the crystallization of God's infinite ability and wisdom. Today, with the help of modern scientific knowledge, we can better understand the infinitely beautiful significance of these revelations in the Bible.
In the past, the old law of immortality of matter always believed that matter could neither be born nor destroyed. In the past, the law of conservation of mass always believed that mass could neither be increased nor decreased. So some people want to "prove" that everything in the universe is not created by God, but already exists, because it can neither be born nor destroyed. However, since Einstein put forward the relativistic mass-energy relationship (E=MC) and 1905 discovered atomic energy, people have affirmed that mass can be transformed into energy, and tangible matter can be transformed into intangible energy. In other words, mass is no longer conserved and tangible matter is no longer indestructible. For example, atomic energy is an example of the conversion of mass into energy. Because atomic energy is produced by some heavy nuclear fission or light nuclear polymerization. When nuclei split or polymerize to produce a large amount of atomic energy, their original nuclei are destroyed. So atomic energy is actually transformed from matter. Another example is the sun.
The same is true of the energy source of emission. The sun is actually an extremely huge thermonuclear reaction source. The sun is also the greatest example of our peaceful use of atomic energy. However, the atomic energy currently used by human beings is only converted from a small part of the mass in the nucleus, and human beings are far from being able to convert all the mass or all the substances in the nucleus into energy. But in recent years, scientists have discovered more than 200 amazing quasars in space radio sources by using radio technology. One of the "strangeness" of quasars is that the energy radiated per unit time is very large. According to observation and calculation, quasars are only one billion times the size of ordinary galaxies, but the energy they radiate is 1000 times that of ordinary galaxies. At present, the largest known energy source in physics is the thermonuclear reaction of hydrogen bomb explosion, but it is far from explaining such a large energy source of quasars. So some astronomers think something happened there.
The "annihilation" process of collision between matter and antimatter, that is, all matter is converted into energy. (quoted from popular science materials).
The above facts prove that mass can be transformed into energy and tangible matter can be transformed into intangible energy. Since "things" can be transformed into "energy", then "energy" can be condensed into "things" in turn. The process of condensing "energy" into "things" is actually the process of God using his own ability to create all things in the universe. As the above scripture points out: "The Lord created the earth with his great power (that is, condensed" energy "into" things "), established the world with his wisdom, and expanded the sky with his wisdom. Because in the process of "energy" condensing into "things", it is also full of intelligence. And the "Vientiane" in the sky (including celestial bodies and galaxies) was also created "because of his great power, because of his great power." (Sai 40:26). Therefore, the relationship between mass and energy discovered by Einstein is actually one of the basic principles formulated by God when he created the universe.
The Bible tells us that God's power is infinite. He is omnipotent and omnipotent (Rev. 1:8. 4:8). He is also the source of all abilities. The inspired poet said: "God said once or twice, and I heard it, that is, power belongs to God." (Ps。 62: 1 1). The power of God is also manifested in many aspects. All kinds of energy in nature, such as light energy, heat energy, electric energy, magnetic energy, atomic energy, etc. , is only one aspect of God's power. Therefore, all forms of energy ultimately come from God. For example, the Bible calls God "the father of light". (Ya 1:7)。 He even said, "God is light. (about 1:5). " God is a fire. Deuteronomy 4:24. Hebrews 12:29). A fire burned in front of him ... his lightning lit up the world and the earth shook when it saw it. ”(Ps。 50:3-4.97:3-4).
It can be seen from the above scripture that since God has infinite power and can emit infinite energy, he can also create infinitely in the universe. As the scripture says, "lift up your eyes and see, who created all this?" .. because of his strength, because of his great strength, no one is lacking. "(Isaiah 40:26). Another place says, "He is wise in heart and powerful. .. he spread out the sky and walked on the waves alone. He built the Beidou, Canxing, Angxing and the secret palaces in the south. He did something immeasurable; There are countless miracles. " (Job 9:4- 10).
The size of the universe
Let's look at the second question: the size of the universe. Does the universe have boundaries? How many celestial bodies are there? This is also a question that people often like to speculate.
First of all, you can imagine that the space of the universe is infinite. If the space of the universe has boundaries, what is beyond the boundaries? It's still infinite space!
Second, there are countless celestial bodies and galaxies in the universe. Jeremiah 33:22. For human beings, they are indeed countless, which are short-lived and limited and can never be detected by human beings. (Bo 1 1:29). However, for the all-powerful and all-knowing God, they are still limited and quantitative. (Isaiah 40:26. Gen 22: 17. Jeremiah 33:22).
Third, God's power and wisdom are infinite, and are not limited by space, time and matter. As long as he is willing, he can create infinitely in infinite time and space. He can condense energy into mass and turn invisible "energy" into tangible "things" (Jeremiah 10: 12. Is 40: 26); He can also convert mass into energy and tangible things into intangible energy (Lai1:11-12). He can abolish the old world and create a new one. Heaven and earth can change, but he will never change. As the scripture says, "Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens were made by your hands." Heaven and earth will perish, but you will live forever. Heaven and earth will grow old like clothes. You should roll them up like a coat. Heaven and earth have changed, but you will never change, and your years are endless. (Hebrews1:12) and the Bible tells us that in the future, the Lord Jesus will create a new land for us and meet the sky (Rev. 2 1: 1. Isaiah 65: 17). On the other hand, the Lord also "supports all things with his powerful commands." (come 1:3). And manage the universe through "Heaven". (Job 38:33).
Are there advanced life on other planets?
Now let's look at the third question: Is there advanced life on other planets? Aren't there many astronomers, scientists, philosophers, writers and ordinary intellectuals wondering whether there is life like us or higher than human beings on other planets? In fact, why speculate? On this point, God has made a clear revelation in the Bible. The Bible tells us that God not only created 10,000 powerful, wise and glorious holy angels of Qian Qian in heaven to stand around his throne, but also created countless "worlds" on countless planets. (come 1:2. 1 1:3).
But the present situation in other worlds is quite different from ours. Because only human beings in our world in the whole universe have been lured by the devil (that is, the evil angel who has sinned and betrayed God) and fallen into sin, so that human beings have not only lost the holy joy, the glory of heaven and eternal life, but also the pain of physical illness and death, the misery of natural and man-made disasters, and all entered the world with sin. All other creatures are cursed for this, sighing and working together until today. (Gen. 3 chapters. Rom 5: 12。 8:22). As for the creatures in other worlds in the universe, they have never committed any crime since they were created by God. They are full of love, holiness and joy, clothed with heavenly glory and enjoying eternal life. All other creatures created are also perfect and will never die. The whole world is full of sacred glory and joy. Just as Johanna once heard a loud voice from heaven in a vision, saying, "Let the heavens rejoice, and those who live in them. Woe to the earth and the sea. " (version 12: 12).
Fortunately, the true God has infinite love for us who are dying of crime. He sent his only son, Christ, to be born for us, to show us the love of the father and to preach the gospel of the kingdom of heaven. Finally, in order to bear the sin of our world, he was crucified, laid down his life for us, completed the atonement work, and brought the redeemed Hong En, so that all sinners who believed in the Lord's name were pardoned and saved. As the scripture says, "God loved the world so much that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." . And "being a child of God". (about 3: 16. 1: 12).
Let's go back to what we just said. In addition to creating us humans, God has also created countless advanced creatures from other worlds, and Qian Qian's omnipotent angels standing around the throne of God. Or someone may ask, what is the "UFO" incident that has been rumored internationally in recent years?
Some people think that it may be some kind of "alien" or even an angel visiting the world. All these guesses are wrong. The Bible tells us that angels are the souls of service and are sent to serve those who will be saved. (Lai 1: 14). Other sentient beings in the world are also extremely concerned about the salvation of believers in our world. They will never engage in any "flying saucer" activities to disturb people's hearts and keep them away from the Bible, the Father and Christ. In particular, some UFO incidents mentioned in the report are obviously magical and have played a role in disturbing people's hearts, and some even endanger people's lives, obviously because of the devil's confusing actions. Because ghosts and demons were powerful angels (not considered as the souls of the dead, as some people misunderstand) before committing crimes, they have the ability to "do great wonders" and even send skyfire to the world in front of people. (version 13: 13). They are also extremely vicious and will harm human beings. In fact, if God hadn't protected mankind, including those who didn't believe in him or even opposed him, the devil would have destroyed mankind long ago. Some people know nothing about it. They think flying saucers are harmless to human beings, and even think ghosts are not so terrible. It was deceived by an evil soul. The scripture says, "The devil walks around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to swallow." (Peter 1. 5:8). But we who believe in Christ need not be afraid. Christ has given us the authority to "drive out ghosts" in the name of the Lord (Kyle Gospel 16: 17). The Bible also encourages us to say, "So obey God and resist the devil, and the devil will leave you and flee." . "(James 4:7)
Where is the throne of God?
Finally, let's look at the fourth question: where is the throne of God? According to the operation law of the universe between celestial bodies and even galaxies in the universe, satellites, planets, stars, clusters, galaxies, galaxy clusters, total galaxies and even total galaxies at all levels seem to be rotating around a larger center while rotating. If so, then the center of the universe surrounded by the total galaxies at all levels of the universe may be the throne of God known as the "father of all lights". Of course, the throne of God is also active (the last chapter), and it can be set anywhere meaningful in the sky at will. In any case, one thing is certain, as the scripture says: "The Lord (one of God's holy names, meaning one who will always have his own) has established his throne in heaven, and his authority is in charge of all things. Praise the Lord, all mighty angels who obey his command and do his will. (poem 103: 19-20).
However, we should also have a comprehensive understanding of the throne of God. On the one hand, God certainly sits on the throne in heaven; On the other hand, God is omnipresent and is not limited by any time, space or material. Listen, says the Lord, can a man hide in a secret place so that I can't see him? Do I not fill the heavens and the earth, declares the Lord? "(Jeremiah 23:24. Hymn139:1-/kloc-0, 23-24). The Lord also said, "The sky is my seat and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? Where is my resting place? " (Sai 66: 1)。 Solomon also said, "Look, heaven and the heaven in heaven are not enough for you to live in, how much less this temple I have built?" (1 Kings 8:27).
However, because of God's infinite love for us, in order to save our dying sinners, he is willing to bend down and live among us, in the hearts of every one of us who believes and repents. Thus says the supreme and eternal Saint: "I live in the highest and most holy place, and I also live with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, so that the spirit of the humble and the heart of the contrite can be revived.". (Isaiah 57: 15.66: 1-2. 1 Kings 8:27-29).
Moreover, according to the revelation of the Bible, after God's people are redeemed in the future, the throne of God will be set up in our newly created new heaven and earth. (Revision No.2 1-22. Come 12:22-24). At that time, all the people of God will be priests before the throne of God, serve God day and night, sit on the throne with Christ and seize the throne, and stand before the throne of God and Christ with angels to carry out God's eternal holy and beautiful will. At that time, our bodies will be immortal and shine like the sun, just like Christ and angels. As Christ himself promised, "at that time, the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their father." He who has ears to hear should listen. " (Thai 13:43)
Dear friends, I hope that each of us can immediately believe in the Lord and repent, implore the blood of the Lord to wash away all our sins, and implore the spirit of the Lord to clean, renew and regenerate our hearts, so that we can immediately become children of God, and begin to rely on the Lord to escape from sin and sanctify eternal life, so as to prepare for entering the country of infinite glory in the future. As Christ himself called us, "The kingdom of God is near, so repent and believe in the gospel. ( 1: 15).
I hope that we, the children of God who have repented and believed in the Lord, will always be vigilant, always pray, study the Bible every day, meditate on the word of the Lord, and constantly pursue sanctification from sin in the Lord.
