On the artistic achievements of Du Fu's poems
Du Fu was the most famous realistic poet in ancient China. In his works, he shows concern for the fate of the motherland and sympathy for the people's suffering. He boldly attacked the sins of powerful ministers and warlords, and even directed at the rulers. His poems are called the history of poetry because they broadly and truly reflect the various realities of the declining society in the Tang Dynasty. Du Fu's poems are exquisite in language and precise in rhythm. "Depressed and frustrated" is his basic style. At the same time, in works with different contents and poetic styles, the author is good at creatively using various forms, or laying out narratives, or expressing feelings, or writing a lot, or describing them in detail, all of which are brilliant and show high artistic talent.
