"Mulan Poetry" is a folk song of the Northern Dynasties. Song Guo Maoqian's "Yuefu Poetry Collection" is included in "Hengchui Songs·Lianggujiao Hengchui Songs".
Guo Maoqian (1041-1099), courtesy name Decan (contained in Volume 24 of "Supplement to Chronicles of Song Poems"), was born in Xucheng, Yunzhou (now Dongping, Shandong) in the Northern Song Dynasty (Volume "History of the Song Dynasty") 297 "Guo Quan Biography"), his ancestors were from Quyang, Taiyuan, and their great ancestor Guo Ning first lived in Yunzhou because of his official career. He is the grandson of Guo Quan, the general magistrate of Laizhou, and the son of Guo Yuanming, a doctor of Taichang.
In the seventh year of Shenzong Yuanfeng's reign (1084), he joined the army for the Fa Cao of Henan Prefecture ("Guo Jun's Epitaph" in Volume 59 of "Su Wei Gong Ji"). He compiled hundreds of volumes of "Collection of Yuefu Poems" handed down to the world, and is valued by the academic community for his profound textual research and problem-solving.

Chirp repeats chirp, Mulan is weaving in every household. I didn't hear the sound of the crowbar, but I heard the woman sighing. Ask her what she is thinking about, and ask her what she is remembering. The woman has nothing to think about, and the woman has nothing to remember. I saw the military post last night, and the Khan ordered his troops. There were twelve volumes of military books, each with his name on it. My grandfather has no eldest son, and Mulan has no elder brother. I am willing to saddle the horse for the city, and from now on I will fight for my grandfather. Buy horses in the east market, saddles and bridles in the west market, bridles in the south market, and long whips in the north market.
I bid farewell to my mother-in-law in the morning and stayed by the Yellow River in the evening. I didn't hear my mother-in-law calling for a girl, but I heard the sound of the Yellow River water splashing. The sound of the loom came one after another, and Miss Mulan was weaving at the door. The loom stopped making no sound, and the girl could only be heard sighing.

I saw the recruitment documents last night and knew that the king was recruiting soldiers on a large scale. There were so many volumes of recruitment documents, and my father's name was on each volume.
The father has no grown-up son, and Mulan has no brother. Mulan is willing to buy saddles and horses, and from then on go on the expedition for her father. Go to the east market to buy a horse, the west market to buy a saddle and saddle pads, the south market to buy bits and reins, and the north market to buy a whip (horsewhip).
