Wang Duo was knowledgeable in ancient times, wrote poems and produced a lot. There are more than 10,000 five-character poems alone, and there are 4,954 poems in Tan Qian's Miscellaneous Collection of Thorn Woods in the Ming Dynasty. Wang Duo's collection of poems and essays includes the First Collection of Quasi-Mountain Garden 17, 82 volumes of Selected Works of Quasi-Mountain Garden, with Wen and Huang Daozhou as the preface, and 32 volumes of Selected Works of Quasi-Mountain Garden, which are banned. Wang Duo's literary calligraphy is the best way to be an official. After entering the Qing Dynasty, he took pleasure in writing poems as literature.
Wang Duo's On Poetry, which lived in the Tang, Du and Han Wei Dynasties, was praised by the scholars in the Ming Dynasty as the former, the latter seven scholars and Li Panlong. He worshipped Du Fu, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, and even claimed to be near-re-embodiment.
Probably because of Du Fu's wandering life, miserable mood, thoughts and feelings of worrying about the country and the people, and Xiao Sa's tragic epic style, Wang Duo's * * * voice can be aroused, and the language and content of Du Fu's poems can best speak for Wang Duo's thoughts and feelings. Wang Duo advocated "expressing ambition with poetry", and he tried to follow the realistic development path of poetry creation.
In the fifth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty, when Wang Duo wrote Eight Prefaces to Seven-character Poems, he stood in the position of feudal literati and expressed opposition and hostility to the consequences of the peasant uprising war in Shanxi and Henan. But we deeply sympathize with the people's suffering.
Wang Duo's poems imitate Du Zimei, but they are not as good as him in ideological content, language skills and achievements. However, some poems expressing feelings, giving gifts and mourning for friends are really touching, with exquisite language, warning strategy and unique personal style.
