Tomb-Sweeping Day's Soft Pen Calligraphy Works

Tomb-Sweeping Day is a very important traditional festival in memory of ancestors and deceased relatives. On this day, people will go to the cemetery to worship their ancestors and deceased relatives, present them with flowers and paper money, thank them for all they have done for us and express their thoughts. In this special festival, I especially like to express my feelings with soft pen calligraphy. Soft pen calligraphy is a very flexible calligraphy art, which can show our deepest feelings. On this day in Tomb-Sweeping Day, I usually prepare some red rice paper, soft pens, paints and brushes, and then start to write some eulogies or thoughts on my deceased relatives.

In a eulogy I wrote, I expressed my gratitude to my ancestors, my thoughts on my deceased relatives, and my expectations and blessings for the future. In the process of writing, I feel very calm inside, as if I were with my ancestors and relatives. When I finished this work, I felt very satisfied and moved.

Besides eulogy, I will also write some wishes and expectations for the future. For example, I will write down my wishes for the prosperity of my motherland, the health and safety of my family and my own growth and progress. These blessings and expectations are not only a spur and encouragement to oneself, but also a gratitude and commitment to relatives and ancestors.

Generally speaking, Tomb-Sweeping Day is a very profound and touching festival. Expressing our inner gratitude and yearning through soft pen calligraphy is not only a kind of inheritance and development of traditional culture, but also an expression and sustenance of the soul. Whether in Tomb-Sweeping Day or on weekdays, we should write attentively and express our deepest feelings with pens.
