Hangzhou "Canal Cultural Square" belongs to the first phase of comprehensive renovation of the Grand Canal (Hangzhou section). The square covers an area of 52,000 square meters, with a construction area of 50,000 square meters. It integrates many functions such as culture, commerce, sightseeing and entertainment. The square also has a large fountain of light and music, a supermarket, more than 30,000 square meters of greening, three antique terraces bounded by Kunming, Zhijin and Qujinren on the west side, and the Chen Gong Bridge with a history of nearly 400 years. As night falls, in the sound of traditional music in the south of the Yangtze River, the water column of the large fountain is constantly changing in various shapes, and the lights are alternately changing, which outlines a wonderful sound and picture pattern with the floodlight of the surrounding buildings. Soft lights set off the quiet canal, interwoven with green spaces and tourists.

China Grand Canal Museum is adjacent to Chen Gong Bridge. The building area of the museum is 10000 square meters and the exhibition area is over 5000 square meters. There are four exhibition halls: the excavation and change of the Grand Canal, the utilization of the Grand Canal, the cities along the Yangtze River and the canal culture. At present, thousands of cultural relics and historical materials collected and exhibited fully demonstrate the position and role of the Grand Canal in the history of the development of the Chinese nation. The canal landscape series focusing on "one hall, two belts, two fields, three parks, six ports and fifteen bridges" was officially opened on 1 October1day in 2007.

Water bus Chen Gong Bridge Station is located in the square. You can take water bus all the way south and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hangzhou.
