On November 15, 2015, with our expectations and dreams for the Shanghai World Expo, we personally experienced the wonderful World Expo tour activities. The Shanghai World Expo is another major international event in my country after the Olympic Games. In the past 100 years, many of the world's advanced concepts, culture, technologies, etc. began at the World Expo. For China, it is undoubtedly a city’s connection with the world.
This is our second day in Shanghai. We all set off early with curiosity and yearning for a city. In fact, the subway passage on the road started the prelude to the World Expo early. The "Shanghai World Expo Image Exhibition" in the subway corridor uses lenses to capture moments and images to record the times. Of course, this is just a prelude. What everyone wants more is to enter the museum and witness the past style of the China Pavilion.
Entering the museum, the contents of each exhibition hall attracted our attention. "Moon Rising over the Sea", "Between Shanghai and Paris", "Writing the Era"... Calligraphy and art works from home and abroad opened up various vivid animation scrolls in front of us, telling the past lives of Chinese art. In this life, let us linger. From news events to humanistic stories, from natural scenery to urban changes, it reflects the love, concern and thinking about the world, the times and life. Nearly 300 video works are like sparks of the times, colorfully scattered in the frames.
What impressed me most was the "Impression of Faith" in the India Pavilion. Through various art categories such as prints, watercolors (pink) and sculptures, the exhibition showed a kind of "shuddering" feeling that made the viewers "shudder". The sense of religion truly and vividly displays the emotions and wisdom of the Indian nation; the raw materials of these design works come from our closest lives, such as the rattles symbolizing Buddhism, the straw bundles of Indian blessing masters, etc. Such works give us a new understanding of design. Successful design directly touches people's hearts and is an arrangement and combination of the most common things in life.
This is an art exhibition that includes classical, ethnic, traditional and contemporary works. Nearly 200 artists have brought more than 400 original works across eras and fields, including sketching, oil painting, and collage. It also includes graphic works such as stickers and photography, as well as mixed multimedia works such as sculptures and installations. It not only contains excellent historical and cultural traditions, but also has an all-encompassing modern urban style. The exhibition itself is full of inclusiveness. Today’s collection leaves us with a lot to like. We learned a lot and realized a lot. Design comes from life, design is the most fundamental simplicity, and the idealization of space design is the unity of shape and heart. We will be the leaders of the new generation of design, so how can we not work hard.
