Introduction of silkworm flower temple fair
The silkworm flower temple fair is also called silkworm flower roll in Xinshi, Zhejiang, similar to the silkworm flower roll in Hanshan silkworm flower festival. A Han folk cultural activity that integrates folk art, religious belief, material exchange and cultural entertainment. According to legend, silkworm farmers in local new towns spontaneously gathered in Tomb-Sweeping Day to commemorate the stone, worship the "silkworm god" and pray for a good harvest of silkworms. Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, silkworm farmers pray for a good harvest year for silkworm babies to eliminate diseases and disasters, and hold a temple fair on silkworm flowers. On this day every year, sericulture farmers from counties and towns around the new town flock to the areas of Juehai Temple, Siqian Street, Si Qian Lane, Rouge Lane and North Street of the ancient temple. Buddhist believers go to Lingqian Mountain to worship Buddha and pray for "a bumper harvest of grains". Rural women are pregnant with silkworm eggs and put all kinds of silkworm flowers on their heads to attract people to watch. There are a sea of people, so it is called "rolling silkworm flowers" After the temple fair, people began to have a spring outing. Silk-making has been the main source of income for local silkworm farmers in new towns of Deqing County since ancient times. In order to pray for a good cocoon harvest, silkworm farmers always worship the "silkworm god" and "silkworm god" when raising silkworms. As time goes by, a temple fair of silkworm flowers is formed around Tomb-Sweeping Day every year to offer sacrifices to Juehai Temple.
