Now Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel, is located on the Mediterranean coast in the middle of the western edge of this land.
Hebrews are a branch of Semitic language family. They first appeared in Mesopotamia, because according to (Bible) records, the ancestors of Hebrews, the Abraham family, originated in Sumer. Hebrews are considered to be descendants of Abraham. It is said that Abraham was instructed by God. From 1900 BC to 1500 BC, they gradually moved from Ur in Mesopotamia to an area called "Canaan" on the eastern Mediterranean at that time. According to the Bible, this is a land "flowing with milk and honey". The aborigines in Canaan called these people crossing the river from the east "Hebrews", which means "people crossing the river".
God led the Israelites out of Egypt from slavery and promised them that they could go to Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey.
Later, after Jesus was born, he was crucified for mankind and then resurrected, promising that those who believed in him could return to their homes in heaven, which was also described as the beautiful land of Canaan.
