Poems about the Year of the Horse

Wild Horse

Author: Zhao Xinghua

Previous Life

I should be a black-maned wild horse

Galloping in the wind Come and chase the wolf away

It doesn’t have the exquisite iron hooves of the horse

But it is never afraid of the impact of the sharp stone angle

It I often fantasize about myself

standing upright on the top of a mountain between the full moon

and then swooping down wildly

I also often think about myself

Wearing black armor

Charging head-on to the beat of drums

Facing the contradictory distance

What on earth are you shouting there?

Yes Not strong enough?

Or is it that the wild horse has a dream that the lion dare not dream?

Maybe it is just not desperate enough

It does not have the despair of a last-ditch fight
