Wang Xizhi's Shangyu Tie, also known as Night Abdominal Pain Tie, is a kind of hemp paper. It is 23 cm long and 26 cm wide. 7 lines, 58 words. Cursive script is now in Shanghai Museum.
There are often brushstrokes in Shangyu Tie and some letters of Wang Xizhi in his later years, but they are essentially different from early works such as Tie Gu. "Tie Auntie" presents a faint legacy of the Eastern Han Dynasty, while "Shangyu Tie" is the result of the author's pursuit of diversity in brushwork and aesthetics in ancient and modern times.
Shangyu Post runs through with round lines and flows freely. The remnants of the official meanings of individual words in style have brought some ancient meanings to the works.
There are three ways to connect the lines of Shangyu Post: three-dimensional connection, overlapping connection and comprehensive connection.
The shape of the word "cloud" is relatively small, so when the connecting line is drawn from the lower left, it extends more to the left, leaving enough space for writing on the right. Because the word "Xiang" is slightly wider, the connecting line does not swing much to the left. The words "I hate" and "I hate" are drawn from the lower left arc of the front, and quickly turn directly below the front to display the vertical painting next to the vertical center. As a word group, the word "Frye" appears, because the word "Fu" is slightly wider, so the connecting lines mostly extend to the left, and the lower main line bends slightly to the right because of cursive calligraphy.
The connection of the word "I don't know" extends to the left as far as possible, and the end point has reached the vertical line to the left of the word "No", which makes it tend to be written directly below, which is also caused by the cursive calligraphy of "Know". The connection of the word "Jian Qing" is rare in Jin people's works, because the collection of the word "Jian" is not over, and it is turned around in a hurry and lacks the proper transition. The contour line of the right folding point is angular, which should be a typical sick pen in a sense. In a work, two identical examples appear in succession, and the second one can be replaced by some conventional symbols, such as two points combined up and down, points folded horizontally and so on. However, in the process of writing, due to the need of form, there can be various deformations. For example, the repeated part of the word "Ren" here is replaced by a short arc, and the turning point of the arc is not very big.
