Intellectuals' writing was put forward by poets Nishikawa, Ouyang in 1987 when they attended the "Youth Poetry Meeting" organized by Poetry Publishing House. Nishikawa said that the reason why he put forward the concept of intellectual writing was that on the one hand, he hoped to correct the popular poetry that had been flooded at that time, and on the other hand, he hoped to show his attitude towards orthodox poetry serving ideology and obscure poetry attached to ideology with a rebellious attitude. On the other hand, Ouyang He Jiang thinks that the theme of intellectual writing is protest, which is boring. After the era of popular writing has passed, it is a poetic practice that has the consideration of context and language strategy and seeks the vitality of the stage. They believe that the creation of poetry should first be a writing attitude that is responsible for literature and art. In the process of creation, the artistic effects of various writing techniques should be correctly brought into play by accurately handling the language of poetry, so as to accurately express the theme of poetry. /kloc-in the 1990s, the intellectual writing movement was fully developed, and a large number of outstanding intellectual writing poets appeared, such as Xichuan, Ouyang,,, and so on. Ouyang He Jiang, Nishikawa, Yongming Zhai, Wang Jiaxin and other intellectuals' creative practice and theoretical exploration had an important influence on the development of China's new poetry in 1990s. At the same time, it also contributed to the strong confrontation between "intellectual writing" and "folk writing", which led a group of poets to "the third way writing"
