Li Bai (AD 70 1- AD 762), whose name is Taibai, is a violet layman. His ancestral home was in Ji Cheng, Longxi (now near Tianshui, Gansu), and he moved to the Western Regions at the end of Sui Dynasty. Li Bai was born in Broken Leaves in Central Asia (now the Chu River valley south of Balkhash Lake was under the jurisdiction of Anxi Duhu House in Tang Dynasty). When I was young, I moved to Qinglian Township, Changlong, Mianzhou (now Jiangyou, Sichuan) with my father. He is the most outstanding romantic poet in China after Qu Yuan, and is known as "Poet Fairy". As well as Du Fu, it is called "Da Du Li" in the world. He spent most of his life roaming, and traveled more than half of China. He doesn't want to be an official in the exam, but hopes to rely on his own talent and embark on his career through the recommendation of others. Thus, in the 13th year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (AD 725), Li Bai, 24, went out of Shu alone and began his first roaming. He went out of the Three Gorges, Jiangling, Yueyang, Lushan, Jinling and Yangzhou. Running all the way, unfortunately fell ill. After his illness, Li Bai returned to Jingmen and paid a visit to Meng Haoran.
In 727 AD, Li Bai was introduced by Meng Haoran, met Xu, the prime minister of Wuhou, gained his appreciation, and recruited him as his granddaughter's husband. After living in Anlu (now Anlu City, Hubei Province) for 12 years, Xu died in 738 AD, and Li Bai was deeply saddened.
In the first year of Tianbao (AD 742), under the recommendation of Taoist Wu Yun, Li Bai was called to Chang 'an to worship the Hanlin, and his articles became famous all over the world.
Li Baichu was appreciated by Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty for his talent, but later he was unable to meet the dignitaries. After only three years in Beijing, he was "refunded".
In the summer of the third year of Tianbao (AD 744), Li Bai arrived in Luoyang, the eastern capital. Here, he met Du Fu, who is eleven years younger than him. At this time, Li Bai was famous all over the country, while Du Fu was in his prime, but he stayed in Los Angeles. But the two hit it off. In the autumn of the same year, they met in Liang and Song Dynasties (now Shangqiu, Kaifeng), during which they happened to meet Gao Shi, a poet who had no position at that time. However, all three of them are ambitious, swimming happily, commenting on literary criticism and poetry and talking about the world. At this time, Du Li was in the prime of life, and this exchange of ideas in their creation had a positive impact on them in the future.
After breaking up, Li Bai went to Taishan to get a Taoist certificate, passed by Rencheng, married a local woman, and left a lot of land in Yanzhou, Shandong. Unfortunately, his wife died after five years of marriage.
In the autumn of the fourth year of Tianbao (AD 745), Li Bai and Du Fu met for the third time at the east foot, and their friendship deepened. After they broke up, Li Bai left Donglu, took a boat from Rencheng and went to Yangzhou along the canal. Li Bai began his travel life again. He travels everywhere, making friends and visiting celebrities.
In 750 AD, Li Bai met the granddaughter of the prime minister Zong Chuke when Wu Zetian was in Kaifeng, Henan Province, and got married.
In the second year of the Anshi Rebellion (AD 756), Li Bai once participated in Li Lin, the shogunate of Wang Yong, when he was angry and in trouble. Unfortunately, Wang Yong and Su Zong competed for the throne. After the defeat, Li Bai was dragged down and exiled to Yelang (now Guizhou), but he was pardoned on the way. Early Hair of Baidicheng best reflects the poet's mood at that time.
In the second year of last year, Li Bai, who was in his early sixties, returned to Jinling due to illness. In Jinling, his life was quite embarrassing, so he had to go to his uncle Li, who was a county magistrate in Dangtu and died soon.
Around the seventh to ninth year of Kaiyuan, Li Yong was the secretariat of Yuzhou (now Chongqing, Sichuan). Li Bai wandered out of Sichuan and went to Yong via Yuzhou. Because of his informality, he spoke loudly and talked about Wang Ba, which made Li Yong unhappy. According to the history books, Li Yong was "quite conceited" (Biography of Li Yong in Old Tang Dynasty). He was conceited and had a good reputation, but he had reservations about being young and backward.
Li Bai was dissatisfied with this and wrote this poem in a rather impolite manner when he left, in return. In the poem, Li Bai uses Dapeng as a metaphor. When the opportunity came, he could go straight to Wan Li. Even without the help of the wind, the water in the sea can be swept away with one wing. A few strokes depict the momentum and great image of Dapeng.
Li Bai's "big talk" is often laughed at, but he thinks that historian Li Yong should have a hero's eye. What he didn't expect was that Li Yong, who had a good reputation, was just an ordinary person. Li Bai told the story of Confucius, a sage, who knew how to pull out his descendants and retorted. An unruly, youthful and fearless image is vividly displayed before our eyes.
From this poem written by Li Bai when he was young, we can see that the poet was ambitious since he was a child, and he had an extraordinary momentum from the beginning of writing. That fearless and uninhibited character has been impressively presented.
