Live in Peng Lepolino of Sacola and his son depended on each other. His wife died of a serious illness a year ago. In order to treat his wife, the family spent a lot of money. Now they have no savings at all and can only rely on relief funds to survive.
Christmas is coming, and the 5-year-old son is looking forward to Christmas day, when his father can take him to the amusement park on a bicycle, so he hopes Santa Claus will send them a bicycle. The son wrote a letter to Santa Claus crookedly and entrusted his father to deliver it to the post office. After the letter was sent, his son would ask Lepolino expectantly every day: "Dad, will Santa Claus receive my letter?"
Facing his son's clear eyes, Lepolino's throat was filled with tears. Choking, he nodded and comforted his son and said, "Of course he will. Santa Claus likes sensible children the most. Just wait patiently."
Christmas is coming, but where can I get it? A bicycle? Lepolino was at a loss.
On Christmas Eve, Lepolino came back empty-handed with a lot of worries. In desperation, he had to deceive his eager son and say: "Santa Claus has sent you a Christmas gift."
The son asked happily: "Where is it?"
He told his son: "However, I put the brand-new bicycle on the lawn of the park, and when I went to the toilet, it "It's gone."
The son believed it and murmured: "Maybe someone borrowed it. Dad, why don't you write a notice and maybe give it to me from Santa Claus." The gift is back!" In order to comfort his son, Lepolino actually wrote a notice, hoping that the thief would be kind enough to return the bicycle.
On Christmas Eve, the father and son were sitting around the table. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. When they opened the door, there was no one there. There was only an envelope at the door with $200 in it. There was also a note in the envelope that read: "For every thief, there are 1,000 Santa Clauses." Lepolino was deeply moved by this incident. But the matter did not end there. In the next few days, he received 10 more bicycles from well-wishers. Among them, one was sent back by the thief, who also attached a letter of guilt. In the end, he kept only one car and gave the other cars to people who needed them. Because his son will never ride a bike - he is disabled and lost a leg in a car accident.
Lepolino did not reveal this to anyone, including his son. This secret has always been a pain in his heart. To offset his guilt, Lepolino vowed that one day he would play Santa Claus and deliver Christmas gifts a hundred times to children who were looking forward to bicycles just as his son had been. This oath allowed Lepolino to constantly strive for self-improvement and struggle throughout his life, and was finally realized 40 years later.
In 2006, Lepolino was lucky enough to be selected as Santa Claus for the United States Postal Service's annual "Santa Claus Showing Love" event. This elderly man, who is over seventy years old, donated 1,000 bicycles.
