Different versions of poetry

Three hundred Tang Poems is the most famous anthology of judgment in Tang Dynasty. After the founding of New China, in order to meet the requirements of the new era, a new anthology of 300 Tang Poems appeared to replace the anthology of retired scholars in Hengtang. But unfortunately, they all ended in failure. As far as I know, there are three new anthologies: Three Hundred New Editions of Tang Poetry, Three Hundred New Editions of Tang Poetry and Three Hundred New Selections of Tang Poetry, which have not been reprinted for a long time. There are also some discrepancies in the selected edition of "Judge from Hengtang", but it has nothing to do with the overall situation. Now take Chen Wanjun's Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty as the criterion. There is also a sequel to Three Hundred Tang Poems edited by Yu Qingyuan in the old anthology, which is also very good, but it has not been reprinted for a long time.

The most famous ones are Zhang Xie's Three Hundred Tang Poems and Chen Wanjun's Supplementary Notes on Three Hundred Tang Poems. The most popular annotation before liberation was Zhang Xie's annotation. After liberation, due to the brand of Zhonghua Book Company and the book's publishing circulation, Chen Wanjun's Three Hundred Tang Poems became more famous. In fact, on the whole, Zhang Xie's Three Hundred Rules of Tang Poetry is far superior to Chen Wanjun's Supplementary Notes. The annotated version is not as good as the supplementary version in annotation, but it has general understanding, comments and artistic analysis, which the supplementary version lacks. Yu Shouzhen's detailed analysis of 300 Tang poems is basically the integration and plagiarism of Zhang Xie's Notes on 300 Tang Poems. Sadly, many people only know Yu Shouzhen's detailed analysis of 300 Tang poems, but don't know Zhang Xie's comments on 300 Tang poems.

Among the new annotation books, the best ones before 2 1 century are Yu Shouzhen's Detailed Analysis of 300 Poems of Tang Dynasty and Jin's New Annotations of 300 Poems of Tang Dynasty, both of which have their own emphases and can complement each other, and they are easy to buy now. If you are a beginner, it is recommended to buy "300 New Notes on Tang Poetry" first, with detailed annotations, which is very good for beginners. A detailed analysis of 300 Tang poems requires a little foundation to understand their subtleties. After 265,438+20th century, the best new annotation is Zhao Changping's Complete Interpretation of 300 Tang Poems, which is annotated, translated and appreciated. Its overall quality is better than that of Yu Shouzhen and Jin Yao Xing, which can be said to be the best new annotation in modern times.
