Wang Meng, male, a famous contemporary writer in China, was born on June +0934 +65438 10+May 5, Nanpi Longtang Village, Hebei Province. He used to be Minister of Culture of People's Republic of China (PRC), President of Chinese Academy of Art, Secretary of the Secretariat of Chinese Writers Association, Director of the Third Council of Chinese Writers Association, Alternate Member of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Member of the 12th and 13th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China, Standing Committee of the 8th and 9th CPPCC, and Editor-in-Chief of People's Literature. He is currently the 10th Standing Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of Chinese Writers Association, Vice Chairman of China Branch of International Pen Center and Vice Chairman of chinese association for international understanding. In April 2002, he served as consultant, professor and dean of the College of Literature of China Ocean University.
