Jizhong is a city in Hebei Province. Central Hebei is mainly the central plain of Hebei Province. There are many rivers in central Hebei, with dense river networks, rich products, developed transportation and special strategic position. During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it was one of the important strategic places for the struggle between the enemy and ourselves. Hebei belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons in most areas.

There are two famous prefecture-level cities in eastern Hebei, namely Tangshan and Qinhuangdao. Tangshan covers an area of about 1.34 million square kilometers, while Qinhuangdao covers a smaller area, only about 0.78 million square kilometers. Tangshan is located in the east of Tianjin, the west of Qinhuangdao and the north of Bohai Sea. Tangshan is referred to as Tang for short, and Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan, which is also known as the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta, refers to Tangshan.
Tangshan can be juxtaposed with Beijing and Tianjin, which shows that Tangshan has strong comprehensive strength. Tangshan has a long history, but the place name Tangshan was named after the 24th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty because there was a Tangshan in the north of Qiaotou Town (1898).
