The Book of Songs is China's first collection of romantic poems, which comprehensively shows the social life of China during the Zhou Dynasty (Western Zhou Dynasty, Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Eastern Zhou Dynasty Spring and Autumn Period), truly reflects the historical features, and is the starting point of China's realistic literature.
In the Han Dynasty, Liu Xiang compiled Qu Yuan's works and Song Yu's works "Chengqu Fu" into a collection called Chu Ci, which is the first collection of romantic poems in China. It not only created the later prose style, but also influenced the prose creation of past dynasties, which can be said to be the active source of China's romantic poetry creation.
