Lu You is an outstanding patriotic poet in Nanzhu. He wrote many poems in his life, and more than 9,000 poems have been handed down. His poems, ideological realm and artistic achievements are very high. At that time, people called him "Xiao Taibai" (Taibai was the word of Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty).
Lu You was born in the seventh year of Xuanhe, Song Huizong, that is, the year when Xu Jin launched the war of invading Song Dynasty. As early as infancy, he experienced war and chaotic life. Later, Jin invaded a large area of land in the north, and the Song Dynasty was unable to resist, so it had to compromise and make peace, preferring Lin 'an (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang).
Lu You hates invading Xu Jin very much. When he grew up, he insisted on resisting gold. However, this patriot has never been reused. Although he served as several modest officials, he was repeatedly dismissed from office. Under such circumstances, of course, his desire to resist gold cannot be realized.
For a long time, Lu You was depressed. How much he hoped that Dasong could unify the State of Jin and let the people live a peaceful life. Until his later years, he was still obsessed with this great event.
At the age of eighty-five, Lu You fell ill. Seeing my illness getting worse, I knew I was dying. On his deathbed, he said to his sons:
"You all come, I have something to say to you."
Thinking that he was going to entrust the family affairs, several sons ran to the bedside and waited for his instructions. Liu You gasped and said:
"Bring me a pen and paper."
After a while, the pen and paper were brought. Several sons helped him up, Lu You laboriously picked up a pen, wrote the word "shower" on the paper, and then wrote a four-line poem:
Lu You finished writing and left. Not a word in his poems is about family affairs, but what he can't worry about is the cause of the reunification of the motherland. This poem is very touching and fully expresses the wish of a patriot. My sons were heartbroken when they saw it.
