Poetry branching is one of the essential skills in poetry creation. Although every poet has different understanding, sometimes different branches may have little difference, but one thing we must pursue is to embody the internal rhythm beauty and external architectural beauty of poetry as much as possible.
Seventh, the poem can be empty (not necessarily), but the three lines of the poem do not contain empty lines.
Empty lines are the stanzas of poems, and mini-poems can be divided into two sections because of empty lines. More importantly, empty lines are not blank, "empty is color" and "nothing is romantic". The appearance and location of blank lines and their connection with title lines and content lines are obviously very important, which can reveal the profound meaning of pause and "blank" and send out a moral. They play a subtle role in expressing the space-time interval, emotional transformation and prominence, and have an irreplaceable role in expressing the theme, which deserves attention.
In my opinion, the three-line arrangement of a poem is generally "A/B/C", but many excellent texts have appeared in the line arrangement of "A/B/C" and "A/B/C".
"A/B//C" style, such as Xiao Shi's Touch the Blind and the Blind Girl;
Wrinkled and deformed hands hold tender youth.
Moist and bright eyes looked at the white fish eyes.
Darkness triumphed over light again.
In this poem, there is a strong contrast between "wrinkled and deformed hands" and "immature youth", "watery big eyes" and "fish eyes turned white", but after a blank line, the sentence "darkness triumphs over light" makes people lament the scheming of "touching the blind" and the ignorance of girls.
Another example is Lan's City on the Peak:
Surrounded by clouds, high above
Let the plain look up
An eagle is flying high.
The visual effect and psychological shock formed by this kind of empty line are obviously irreplaceable.
"A//B/C" styles such as Bertha's Dream Back to Hongyan Village;
Muddy path
The patter of rain.
The lights in the mountain village are still red. ...
This poem is "It is difficult to write three scenes as it is now", which is a typical writing style of Bazaar's micro-poems. Bazaar's micro-poems are delicate, beautiful and full of scenes. In art, they are very delicate, ingenious and interesting. The beauty of micro-poetry can also be seen from this poem.
Winter in Wang Yaodong;
A stern judge.
In a cold lawsuit
Spring blooms on his face.
We can say that winter is "a strict judge" and a line of miniature poems. However, after a blank line, the poet wrote "on the face of cold lawsuit/spring blossoms", which is both "cold" in winter and "warm" in spring, which is more poetic.
Another example is Chang Yao's "four terms":
Quiet pole-who is sighing?
The Mississippi River is stormy now, and the river rises there.
On the wall of the earth, a man stood silently.
Kong Lin's journey;
Say goodbye to your hometown and embark on a distant journey.
It's a long way to go.
Broaden the narrow road
Among them, the charm of emptiness is worthy of our taste.
However, I haven't seen the arrangement of "A//B//C". Even if it appears one day, as long as it is unique, there is nothing to make a fuss about.
Of course, it should be noted that there are no blank lines in the three lines of the mini poem. For example, some of the famous sonnets are 4442-style and some are 4433-style, and the blank lines in the bar are not among the sonnets.
Eighth, the exploration of micro-poetry forms is helpful to poetry expression.
Micro-poetry can have a novel exploration in external performance, and strive for the perfect unity of form and content. In the article "Exploration of Form and Poetic Expression" (the fourth issue of Chinese micro-poetry), the author wrote: "The content of poetry always needs to be expressed through appropriate forms with the help of the shell of language; Forms other than poetry, like the bones of the human body, carry rich connotations and ideas. " "As a short and pithy style, mini-poetry, in addition to displaying vast poems between scales, is also very conducive to exploring forms, just as exquisite mounting can achieve the harmonious unity of form and content." This paper discusses the hierarchical structure and symbol embedding, and points out that "
Mr Mu Ren, the advocator of micro-poetry, fully affirmed this. He commented in Welcome to the New Force of Micro-poetry (the fifth issue of Chinese Micro-poetry): "Exploring the Form and Expression of Poetry" starts with "arrangement structure" and "symbol embedding", specifically explores "effective methods to explain poetry" and demonstrates that "the innovation of form should be in harmony with the interior of poetry"
Mr. Ma Fei, a famous American poet, is also in My Views on Miniature Poetry ── Comment on Cold Mountain Stone's Dripping Water Hidden in the Sea;
A feature of modern poetry is the close combination of form and content. When Mr. Han Shanshi discusses the form of poetry in his book, he has quite incisive opinions on the arrangement of poems and the use of broken sentences, such as the following "clouds":
nomadic
bird
Where is the homing?
Putting the "bird" in a single row not only highlights the existence of the "bird" but also shows its loneliness. And the following "Fallen" in "Green Leaves" makes readers feel as if they were there and saw the scene of Ran Ran falling leaves:
Take off is
autumn
autumn
Another example is Kong Fu's Sunset in the Desert, which is condensed into two lines:
circle
quiet
The word "death" is a monk's death phrase and a pun on "sunset". The poet wrote the whole process from "the yen fell in the desert" to "all is silent" in just two lines. And the poet skillfully paused two words, which happened to be the interval between the two stages of disappearance and silence. It is both abstract and concrete, which can be said to be ingenious.
Lai Hero Monument;
Proud bones
penetrate
sky
In this word-for-word, vigorous and vigorous rhythm, the heroic image rises from the ground and soars into the sky!
The leaning tower of Pisa by Fan Xiao, a Hong Kong poet;
Trek thousands of miles
Just watch one.
Oblique example
In form, the three lines are intentionally staggered to form an oblique appearance, while in content, they are closely connected with an oblique word to bring forth the new and shine brilliantly.
Therefore, I believe that the form of exploration and innovation, its function is reflected in the "four senses":
First, it enriches and embodies the architectural beauty of poetry and enhances its aesthetic feeling;
Secondly, it will create a brand-new visual image for readers and enhance their spiritual pleasure;
Thirdly, it flows with an internal rhythm, which enhances the sense of rhythm;
Fourth, the most important thing is that the innovation of form is not only a dispensable shell, but also contains rich content.
In short, the external structure, like architecture, is a language in itself. Structural arrangement is the art of architectural design. Rich connotation needs to be accurately expressed through precise structure. As Mr. Ma Fei said: "Modern poetry is a kind of performance poetry. The poet provides a stage and a scene for the reader's imagination to expand and fly with the characters and events in the poem. " It provides readers with a stage or scene to imagine and fly and stimulate them.
Of course, it should be noted that content determines form, and form reflects content. The innovation of form should be coordinated with the inherent poetry. "Novelty" is not "bizarre", but should be both unexpected and as unexpected as possible, reasonable and easy to be understood and accepted by everyone, and bring pleasure. Otherwise, the deliberate pursuit of novelty without content is a word game, and it is also a serious behavior.
Ninth, mini-poems generally do not exceed 30 words.
Poetry is characterized by lines, not words. It is pointed out that short poems generally do not exceed 30 words, which is a relatively standardized requirement for short poems. If there are dozens or more lines, three lines can be written into a short essay. Can you call it a mini poem? Therefore, this restriction is necessary.
At the same time, limiting the number of micro-poems to no more than 30 words is also in line with the normal vision and reading habits of human eyes. Generally speaking, people can't read a poem with about ten words in one line, so the number of micro-poems limited to three lines should generally not exceed 30 words. For example, the title of a newspaper is generally about ten words. For example, Wu and Wang Jue said in "On the Layout Strategy of Metropolis Daily" (originally published in the Journal of Southwest University for Nationalities,No. 1 1 issue in 2005) that the main title of Huaxi Daily is generally within 12. And there are more and more short titles with few numbers. Wang Junchao, Center for International Communication Studies of Tsinghua University, also pointed out in the article Criticism of Contemporary Popular Newspapers: "In the layout design practice of some mainstream newspapers, it is generally required that the title and main title should not exceed 12. Because the extension of the topic often means the enhancement of strength. For those reports that don't need to be particularly prominent, if the title is too long, it will usurp the role of the host; In addition, too long titles will also cause readers' visual fatigue. "In the writing of academic papers, it was suggested that the topic should be controlled within 12 words according to people's general memory characteristics of language. Ye, deputy director of the News Interview Center of Minbei Daily, said in the article "Realization: Basic Principles of Making News Headlines —— Thoughts on Reading News Works of China News Award-winning Newspapers and News Agencies". Looking through 199 1 the news works of newspapers and news agencies that won the China Prize for Journalism in 2002, it is found that the headline of the China Prize for Journalism contains an average of 13.6 words, and the headline of speech and communication is 9.8 words and 10.5 words respectively. So, on the whole, I think according to people's reading habits, micro-poems are about ten words per line. Considering that under normal circumstances, the number of words in each line of micro-poems is different, the long and short sentences are complementary and patchwork, and most micro-poems are less than 30 words.
But the limit of 30 words is not absolute, but "generally not more than". Isn't the word 3 1 a miniature poem? No dogma.
Tenth, finally, it must be emphasized that miniature poems must be poems first.
For micro-poetry, the line 1-3 is just its shape, and its essence must be poetry. Since it is a poem, then: the object of the poem is the object of the micro-poem, the elements of the poem are the elements of the micro-poem, the characteristics of the poem are the characteristics of the micro-poem, and the function of the poem is the function of the micro-poem. Therefore, we must expand the "infinite" space within the "limited" three lines; In the three lines of "restriction", let the spirit fly freely and create more excellent mini-poems.
"Three lines of poetry" and "Ten sentences" have become a great article, which is perfect for micro-poets, especially those who have just come into contact with micro-poets. "Although I can't come, I am looking forward to it." I am willing to continue to learn, appreciate, explore and popularize micro-poetry with you.
