Original text:
The heavy chain was ringing at his feet,
You can hold the whip high,
I don't need any confession,
Even if the chest is facing the bloody bayonet!
People can't lower their noble heads,
Only those who are afraid of death beg for "freedom";
What is torture?
Death can't make me talk!
I laugh at death,
The devil's palace swayed in laughter;
This is me, a "confession" made in party member.
Sing the song of triumph and bury the Chiang dynasty!

After being arrested
The secret publication of the "Forward" in Chongqing caused great panic among the Kuomintang reactionaries. Chongqing authorities ordered three times to solve the case within a time limit, and it was not until April 20 1948 that they learned from the traitors that they had reported to the official residence. The superior sent someone to inform Chen Ran that there were traitors in the party and the advance report should be moved as soon as possible.
He was asked to print the last issue of the newspaper on the 22nd. At 7 o'clock in the evening, the municipal party Committee sent someone to pick it up, and then it was quickly transferred. 2 1 night, Chen Ran suddenly received an unsigned short message: "Recently, the river has skyrocketed, and Wen Jun wants to buy a boat. Just wish you a smooth sailing and a safe journey. " This short message was written directly to him by a comrade who works inside the enemy.
Chen Ran could have been out of danger immediately after receiving the letter, but he insisted on printing out the last issue of "Forward" at 5 pm on the 22nd. Hardly had he burned the waxed paper when footsteps came outside the door. Chen Ran pushed open the window and hung the prepared broom on the nail under the windowsill, which was a signal to the comrades. Just then, several undercover agents broke into the house and ran away with Chen.
