The influence of Zen on China's poetry does not include ().

Not including letting many poets learn Zen.

China's Zen Buddhism is a religion developed from Indian Buddhism, which fully embodies the traditional thought and character of the Chinese nation. Zen is a transliteration of Sanskrit Zen, which originally means "meditation" or thinking. Meditation is quiet meditation. Zen is named after meditation.

The original intention of Zen is meditation, a purely intuitive experience and a reflection on the heart, but this kind of psychological activity does not have to follow the necessary procedures of logical thinking and pursue an empty and clear spiritual liberation. The highest state is "I forget things, I forget, Brahma and I are one". After China, however, he thought that meditation, fasting and chanting were useless to reach this highest state, and only "epiphany" was the only way. It should be said that this way of thinking has formed the artistic thinking of China literati, which is a blend of Zen and scholar-officials, and has become the general trend. During the Neo-Confucianism period in Song and Ming Dynasties, Yan Yu wrote Cang Shi Lang Dialect, using Zen as a poetic metaphor and talking about poetry and Taoism in the language of Buddhism, and created Wu Miao Shuo and Xi Shuo. He said: "On the whole, Zen and poetic Taoism are wonderful", pointing out the lyricism, implicit beauty and the perfect taste of harmony and unity achieved by following the laws of artistic thinking. Cang Hua is regarded as the most successful poetic talk in the Song Dynasty, and Yan Yu's "unique interest" and "wonderful understanding" are important contributions to the history of aesthetics (see Outline of the History of Chinese Aesthetics).

Metaphoring poetry with Zen and discussing poetry with Zen contain infinite machine interest, which makes poetry enter a higher aesthetic realm. In his creation, he mainly preached the natural charm and machine interest of a poem. Through the elaboration of poetry creation and aesthetics, we can feel the essence of poetry beauty, think wonderfully and express our hearts. If there is charm in the artistic conception, the key lies in taste and wonderful enlightenment, which is similar to the unspeakable "enlightenment" of Zen. Therefore, poetry and Zen are interlinked, poetry adds literary grace to Zen, and Zen adds realm to poetry. "The combination of poetry and Zen" makes Tang and Song poetry ethereal and full of wonderful understanding, which has a long-standing influence on China's poetry, but it has not attracted the study and worship of many poets.
