Although the number of actual publications of Zheng Chouyu is small, its poems are sung in Taiwan Province as much as those of Li Houzhu and Li Shangyin. His poems are permeated with two complementary temperament verve. One is the spirit of "benevolence and righteousness", which is bold and open-minded, and the other is graceful and graceful, full of twists and turns, touching and affectionate. These two qualities fully show the poet's profound classical literature accomplishment. It is this accomplishment that makes him avoid the shortcomings of modern poetry school in Taiwan Province Province, and integrate China's traditional consciousness with the expressive skills of western modernism, thus becoming an out-and-out "China poet in China". His masterpiece "Mistake" is known as "the swan song of modern lyric poetry".

Zheng Chouyu, his people and his poems all give people a sense of mystery. He is an athlete himself, but what he expresses in his poems is an affectionate scholar. He has a deep literary accomplishment, but he graduated from law school. As a leading figure of modernism, his poems are full of classical charm. His poems are graceful as Li Shangyin and bold as Li Bai.

Zheng Chouyu's famous poems, such as Mistake and Sailor's Knife, are mostly based on travelers. Therefore, he is called "the prodigal poet".

Interpretation of Zheng Chouyu's mistakes and others

I walked through Jiangnan.

The appearance in the season is like the opening and falling of lotus flowers.

If the east wind does not come, catkins will not fly in March.

Your heart is like a little lonely city.

Like a bluestone street facing the night.

The sound is silent, and the curtain of March spring has not been lifted.

Your heart is a small closed window.

My dada horseshoe is a beautiful mistake.

I am not a returnee, I am a passer-by. ...

-Zheng Chouyu's "mistake"

Zheng Chouyu is one of my favorite poets. And "Wrong" is his most classic poem.

I walked across the south of the Yangtze River: I was obedient and self-sufficient, which showed that I was crossing the south of the Yangtze River.

The appearance in the season is like the opening and falling of lotus flowers: comparing people's faces to lotus flowers also implies this beautiful appearance. Lotus flowers bloom in summer. Lotus flowers will not bloom until the season comes.

If the east wind does not come, catkins will not fly in March.

Your heart is like a lonely town. Your heart is a small window that is tightly closed: the door of your heart is locked because the person you are waiting for has not come yet.

My horseshoe is a beautiful mistake: it refers to my arrival with horseshoe. Here, it is metonymy.

I'm not a returnee, I'm a passer-by ...: I'm not the person you're waiting for, I'm just a passer-by who passed you by.

His real name is Zheng, an important member of Taiwan Province Modern Poetry Society. He has profound classical literature accomplishment and can integrate traditional poetry with modern western artistic expression. In Taiwan Province, Zheng Chouyu and Yu Guangzhong are the most famous poets, and their poems have been adapted into songs.

Zheng Chouyu's poetry style is fresh and elegant. Reading his poems is like seeing an ancient poet in a blue robe. I think Zheng Chouyu's poems are the best among Taiwan Province poets. In terms of freshness and elegance, Yu Guangzhong's poems can't be compared with Zheng Chouyu's.

Xi Du, a poet, once pointed out that Taiwan Province's poems lack modern consciousness, which can also be reflected in Zheng Chouyu's poems. Zheng Chouyu's poems can really be put in any era. The modernity of his poetry is manifested in the artistic techniques of poetry, but it is not broad enough in the content of poetry.

But love is a topic handed down from generation to generation, and the key is how to write it well. This is why the works of Xu Zhimo and Zhang Ailing are still loved by modern readers in the 1930s. Dai Wangshu is a classic. Yuxiang is not the case, although the latter has a stronger sense of the times and more progressive ideological content.

Xi Du mentioned Ji Xian as the most modern poet in Taiwan Province. The most realistic content in the poems I saw in Taiwan Province Province is spirit.

Zheng Chouyu and these two poems are also my favorites. Zheng Chouyu's poems are written with a light pen and have a long aftertaste.
