Archaeology shows that as early as the Paleolithic, there were footprints of human activities in the coastal areas of China. From the 3rd century BC to the 5th century A.D./KLOC-0, China's ancient navigation industry and navigation technology have been at the leading level in the world. The ancients also left many poems describing the ocean, such as "The sea doesn't care about water, so it can grow into a big one", "I will ride the long wind to break the huge waves one day, and set my cloudy sail straight and bridge the deep, deep sea", "The moon is full of the sea, and the horizon is * * * at this time", "All rivers run into the sea, with great tolerance" and so on. This shows that the ocean has always been the origin and an important part of China culture. No matter from China's marine history and culture, marine military culture, marine tourism culture or marine folk culture, we can dig out countless bright spots. More representative, such as Zheng He's feat of seven voyages to the West, opened up the Asian-African sea route historically and spread China's products and civilization. More importantly, while conducting cultural and economic exchanges with different countries, we have not occupied an inch of land in other countries, built forts or plundered a fortune. Zheng He's voyage to the West represents the spiritual essence of the Chinese nation's development of peaceful coexistence and good-neighborly and friendly relations. It is a great practice of mutual respect, peace and friendship, which not only perfectly shows the fine tradition of the Chinese nation's foreign exchanges, but also is an outstanding model and achievement of the development of human civilization. This is an advanced China culture and an advanced marine culture.
