What is the origin of drama?

In order to worship the gods, the Greeks began to build altars and later temples. Sacrificial ceremonies have evolved and gradually formed a drama. When a person pretends to be a priest and simulates the procedure of sacrificial activities in a special hall or venue, it has the nature of performance.

It is generally believed that the origin of drama is closely related to Ode to Dionysus. According to legend, Dionysus, the god of wine, was born to Zeus and Semela, a princess on the earth. Zeus liked Semela very much, and he vowed to satisfy any wish of Semela. Tianhou was jealous of Semela and urged her to see Zeus as God and Thor. Curious Semela made a request to Zeus. Zeus knew that the price of doing so would melt the mortal Semela, but he could not break his oath and had to show his true colors. At this moment, thunder and lightning suddenly started, Zeus only had time to take the fetus out of Semele's belly and put it under his leg, and Semela was burned to ashes. Zeus gave the child named Dionysus to the mountain god Shui Ze to raise. When he came of age, he was brutally killed and dismembered, and later he came back to life. Legend has it that he invented the method of making wine from grapes. Therefore, people will always remember him.
