The person known as the number one poet in the Western Jin Dynasty is Zuo Si, named Taichong, who was born in Linzi, Qi State (now Zibo, Shandong). He was born in a humble family and his family was Confucian. He was ugly, soft-spoken, and difficult to socialize with. His sister Zuo Fen entered the palace and moved to the capital. After ten years of conception, it was completed as "Sandu Fu", which was very expensive in Luoyang for a while. In his later years, he moved to Jizhou for several years and died of illness.

Zuo Si has 14 poems in existence today, but his artistic achievements are very high and his poetic style is unique. He can be said to be the first person in the poetry circle of the Western Jin Dynasty. His eight poems in "Ode to History" are representative works. It's called "Yong Shi" but actually it's "Yong Huai".
