Brief introduction of Wu Zuqiang

Wu Zuqiang composer. Originally from Wujin, Jiangsu. 1927 was born in Beijing on July 24th. Under the influence of musicians Sheng Lun Jia and Zhang Dinghe, I decided to study music in primary and secondary schools. From 65438 to 0947, he entered the theoretical composition department of Nanjing National Conservatory of Music and studied under Jiang Dingxian. 1952 After graduating from the Central Conservatory of Music, he went to study in the Soviet Union and entered the theoretical composition department of the Moscow State Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music. 1958 returned to China after graduation and taught in the composition department of the Central Conservatory of Music. He has served as a teaching assistant, lecturer, associate professor and professor. 1978 was the vice president of the Central Conservatory of Music, and 1982 was the dean. As a representative of China musicians, he visited the Soviet Union, Britain, Czechoslovakia, Japan and other countries, and served as a judge of international music competitions for many times. 1979 was elected as the executive director of China Musicians Association. 1985, vice chairman of China Musicians Association.

Wu Zuqiang has written various genres and forms of musical novels, poems and literary works, such as orchestral music, concerto, ballet, chorus, chamber music and solo. Among them, there are the string quartet, the symphonic scroll On the Land of the Motherland, the oratorio Fighting the Flood, the music of Du Mingxin's ballet The Mermaid and Red women soldiers, and Liu Dehai's Pipa and Orchestral Music. In addition, he also adapted the famous traditional music "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" and "Listening to Pine" into a string ensemble, "River Water" into an erhu and orchestra ensemble, and "Moonlight Night on a Spring River" into a concerto for pipa and orchestra, which was well received by the audience. He also wrote some solos, solos and music for movies and plays.

Wu Zuqiang's creative style is rigorous, and he is good at developing musical thoughts from the laws of musical art. While absorbing the excellent traditions of western European and Russian classical music composition techniques, he also made beneficial explorations in national style and national characteristics, striving to organically combine these two aspects to create musical novels, poems and literary works full of national styles. He also combined Chinese folk music thoughts with symphonic music techniques in the form of national musical instruments and symphony orchestras, and achieved good results.
