Song of Seven Sons is a group of poems written by Wen Yiduo, a modern patriotic poet, during his study in the United States from June 65438 to March 0925. In this group of poems, the poet personifies seven ceded and leased places in China, such as Macau, Hongkong and Taiwan Province Province, into seven children, and their mothers are taken away from them, so as to express their sadness of being "deprived of their motherland and abused by others".

Awaken the people from apathy, revitalize China and recover lost ground. The overall structure of the whole poem is even, each section is symmetrical, full of architectural beauty, with ups and downs in rhythm, distinct sighs and profound meanings.

In this poem, Wen Yiduo compares China's seven "lost territories" Macau, Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province, Ahava, Guangzhou Bay, Kowloon and Lushun Dalian to seven children who are far away from their mothers, crying that they are bullied by foreigners and eager to return to their mothers' arms.

This way of "monologue" in the first person not only makes people feel cordial, but also greatly enhances their sense of belonging, making every poem full of the pain of being robbed of flesh and blood and strongly expressing their deep attachment to the motherland.

Because of its simplicity, sincerity and profound emotion, Song of Seven Sons was quickly sung in China when Macao returned to China, which aroused strong response from compatriots in the motherland. After listening to this song, everyone burst into tears and regarded it as the "theme song" to welcome Macao's return.

But many people don't know that the lyrics of this song are not a new work written for the return of Macao. It is the first of a group of poems called Song of Seven Sons over 70 years ago, written by Wen Yiduo, a late professor, famous patriotic scholar and poet in Tsinghua University.
