Shelley's most romantic poem

Philosophy of love

Philosophy of love

Percy B. Shelley

Translated by Cha Liang Zheng.

Fountains blend with rivers.

And rivers and oceans.

The winds of heaven are always mixed together.

With sweet feelings

Nothing in the world is single.

Everything has a sacred law.

In the blend of each other

Why am I not with you?

Spring always meets the river.

The river flows into the sea again.

The breeze in the sky will always melt.

Sweet feeling

There is no loneliness in the world.

Everything is due to the laws of nature

Will merge into a spirit.

Why are you different from me?

Watch the mountains kiss the sky.

The waves embraced each other.

No sister flower will be forgiven.

If it despises its brother,

The sunshine embraces the earth.

The moonlight kissed the sea.

How much are these kisses worth?

If you don't kiss me,

Look at the mountain kissing the blue sky.

The waves also embrace each other.

Who has seen that flowers are not inclusive of each other?

Sisters despise brothers.

The sun hugs the earth tightly.

The moonlight kissed Haibo.

But what good are these kisses?

If you don't kiss me,

Poetry appreciation

The Philosophy of Love is a well-known short poem by Shelley, which was published in Index in 18 19. In the poem, Shelley feels the beauty of kissing and points out that people naturally need this kind of intimacy. At the same time, Shelley's poems also show us the intimacy of everything. Rivers flow into the sea, accompanied by breeze, and there is no corner in the world without love and independence.

By describing the movements of "water" and "wind", the poet thinks that the intimacy between "you" and "me" is a kind of nature and necessity. For poets, love is a universal law that all things in the world abide by, and the "great love" in all things is the philosophy of love.
