The Book of Songs, Chu Ci, Tang Ci and Song Ci all belong to poetry.
The Book of Songs is China's first anthology of poems, which was first recorded in the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and came into being at the latest in the Spring and Autumn Period. The whole era of The Book of Songs spans about five or six hundred years.
Chuci has some feelings between poetry and prose, each sentence is basically between 7 and 9 words, and a large number of function words are used, the most typical example is the modal particle "Xi";
The basic forms of Tang poetry are quatrains and metrical poems, including four quatrains and eight metrical poems, which are divided into five words and seven words (that is, five or seven words per sentence);
The sentence patterns of Song Ci are not as uniform as those of Tang Poetry, but different in length.
Yuan Qu can be divided into Yuan Sanqu and Yuan Zaju. The former belongs to the category of poetry, but it should be sung with music. Compared with Song Ci, meaningless interlude is widely used, which belongs to China traditional opera, that is, a stage performance art form.
