Wu Benxing's Character Evaluation

Mr. Wu Benxing began his literary creation in the late 1920s. 1968-1In the early 1930s, when I was a college student in Beiping, I started to write modernist poetry under the influence of symbolism. On June 6th, 1936,/kloc-0 and my classmate Li joined forces with old and new poets such as Dai Wangshu, Shi Zhecun, Luo Niansheng and Liu Wuji to establish the only poetry magazine in Beiping at that time. Its author has become the backbone of "modernist poetry".

Mr. Wu Benxing is not only a poet, but also a modern poetry theorist. He published many poetics in Modern Poetics, New Poetry and Cultural Education, which not only contributed to the creation of China's modernist poetry, but also laid the foundation for modernist poetry theory.

After 1949, Mr. Wu Benxing engaged in the research and teaching of modern literature, and published Mao Dun's Novels, the first research work on Mao Dun's works in New China. He is the founder of China Modern Literature Research Association, Lu Xun Research Association and Chinese Poetry Society. Mr. Wu Benxing studied literary styles and literary schools earlier, and articles such as Identification of Literary Schools and On Literary Schools were reprinted by Xinhua Digest and published in Literary Criticism. On Crescent Poetry School is the first article to study literary schools after 1949.

In his later years, Mr. Wu Benxing studied poetry appreciation, published Appreciation of Poetry Beauty and New Exploration of Virtual Aesthetics, put forward the concept of virtual aesthetics, and made new contributions to China's traditional aesthetics.
