What is the creative background of Mother?

The characters and materials in Mother are all from real people. 1903, a group of revolutionary workers held a May Day parade. Zalomov, the organizer of the parade, was arrested, and his mother Anna continued her son's career. Later, Zalomov made a speech when he was tried in court, and he was sentenced to life in exile. While in prison, Gorky gave him great care and encouraged him and his comrades not to be afraid of trial. After Zalomov was exiled, Gorky wrote to him again and sent him money every month. 1905, Zalomov escaped from exile and made a special trip to Finland to meet Gorky. Gorky asked about his life and revolutionary activities. Mother is based on the workers' movement in Sormo and the heroic deeds of Zalomov's mother and son. But the author is not limited to the true story. Based on the rich experience accumulated by the revolution of 1905, he generally reflected the Russian revolutionary movement in the early 20th century, and made the proletarian hero image enter the literary field for the first time.
