2. Takin (scientific name: Budorcastaxicolor): huge, with a shoulder height of1120cm. The male can weigh up to 400kg, the largest can reach 2m, and the weight is1t. Both males and females have short horns. It is a large herbivore of bovine family distributed in the dense forest area at the eastern foot of Himalayas. Due to different producing areas, the coat color gradually becomes lighter from south to north. It is divided into four subspecies: Gaoligong antelope, Bhutan antelope, Sichuan antelope and Qinling antelope, all of which are produced in China.
3. They live in alpine areas above 2500 meters above sea level and like to live in groups, with about 20-30 heads in each group, up to 50 heads at most. Strong body and fierce temperament. There are only a few thousand animals left in China, which are under state first-class protection. Distributed in southwest and northwest China, Nepal, Bhutan, India and Myanmar. Takin is a national treasure animal of Bhutan, and it is called "Takin" in Bhutan.
On June 8, 2020, a wild animal was found in Zhuxi County and Zhushan County of Shiyan City. On the 8th, it was confirmed by the staff of Shiyan Bao Ye Station that it was a national first-class protected animal-takin.
