The life of the character

1838 was born on June 26th, 2008 in Hugli County, Bangladesh. My father is a tax official and my mother is the daughter of a Sanskrit writer. These have had a great influence on him. When he was young, he received a private school education in Sanskrit, Persian and English at home and began to read various literary works.

1849, 1 1 year-old chatterjee was admitted to the preparatory class of the huge college. In the same year, my parents arranged to marry a five-year-old girl. Suffering from it, he praised free marriage and condemned bigamy in his later novels. He also wrote poems and won the first prize in the poetry competition held by 1853 News Sea magazine. Three years later, he published a collection of poems, Heart and Beauty. 1858 received a bachelor's degree from Calcutta University and was appointed as the deputy chief executive of the county. Chatterjee loved English literature very much, and the novel Raj Mohan's Wife, written in English from 65438 to 0864, was serialized on Indian soil. This is the first novel written by an Indian.

1865 wrote the first Bengali novel "The Daughter of the Commander of the Fortress". As soon as the book was published, it immediately caused a sensation and was translated into various Indian languages. 1869 became a judge. From 65438 to 0872, chatterjee founded the literary publication "Mirror of Bengal", which not only published literary works, but also often published some critical articles on various social issues. This publication had a great influence at that time, which not only promoted the development of new Bengali literature, but also inspired people's patriotic enthusiasm and democratic thoughts. It also helps to cultivate new writers. Tagore once said that it "conquered the hearts of us Bangladeshis". 189 1 resigned from public office and settled in Kolkata. The following year, he was appointed as the examiner of the local university and was selected as the consultant.

1March 894, I had to be hospitalized because of the aggravation of diabetes in my early years. On April 8, he died at the age of 55 after repeated treatments.

Character works

His works can be roughly divided into two categories. One is historical novels, such as The General's Daughter, gebhardt Gondra (1866), Maurines Rini (1869) and Chandra Shekel (1873 ~ 1874). At that time, British colonialists slandered the Indian nation as having no history, and the Indian people were unable to manage their own country. In the form of novels, he reproduces the glorious history of India and the heroic spirit of the people in resisting foreign aggression and fighting back. Most of his historical novels are based on a specific historical event, which is full of romance and practical significance. The General's Daughter tells the story of Indian people's resistance to Afghan invasion in the 7th century. Ananda Monastery describes the struggle of people in northern India against British colonists in the middle of the 8th century/Kloc-0, and shapes the patriotic images of Ji Warnander, Shanti and others who are not afraid of violence and fight bravely. One of the poems, Worship of Mother, expressed people's patriotic feelings and was sung everywhere, becoming the first ode of the Indian independence movement. Tagore composed music for it in 1906 and became the national anthem of India until 1950. The other is to write novels with social themes, such as Poison Tree (1872), Indira (1872), Rajini (1874) and La attalla (1875), describing the old and new in social life. However, some of the views expressed are conservative. For example, the poison tree says that widows remarry like poison trees. However, he is one of the pioneers who describe real life in the form of novels.

In addition, he also wrote critical articles, criticized the shortcomings of the times, and advocated retro ideas. He also wrote a book "The Skills of Writers", summarizing his creative experience. He is regarded as the pioneer of modern Bengali literature, and Tagore, Pliem Chand, Salat, Ramesh and others are all influenced by him.
