What are the characteristics of the rhythm of poetry in the Six Dynasties? Pray for the great gods.
Poems in Han, Wei and Six Dynasties are mainly five-character poems, in addition to four-character poems, six-character poems and seven-character poems. Five-character poems can take nineteen ancient poems as an example. Four-character poems such as Cao Cao's "Step out of Xia Men's Line?" Seeing the sea, Cao Pi's lines and other seven-character poems and six-character poems are rare, so I won't give examples. Yuefu has miscellaneous poems. The so-called miscellaneous words refer to the different words in the poem, such as thinking, evil and so on. Miscellaneous Yuefu poems are very common. This has a considerable impact on the ancient customs of later generations. For example, Li Bai likes to write the ancient style of miscellaneous words. As far as language form is concerned, there is not much difference between poetry and prose in the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties. There are only two differences between five-character poems (or four-character poems or seven-character poems) and prose: (1) The number of words in each sentence is certain; (2) rhymes. As for miscellaneous poems, they are more similar to prose, because there is no significant difference from prose except rhyme. Of course, the sentences of miscellaneous poems are generally shorter than prose, but this is hardly the linguistic feature of miscellaneous poems. With the appearance of parallel prose, poems after Wei and Jin dynasties used antithesis more. In Xie Lingyun's Climbing the Pool upstairs, 18 of the 20 sentences are actually antithetical sentences. However, this did not become the poetic language feature of this period, because the general prose at that time, influenced by parallel prose, also liked to use antithesis. Besides, the antithesis of poetry in this period was very casual; The use of duality is only a rhetorical device, not a fixed requirement in formal rules. On the other hand, the use of colloquial words is the characteristic of poems in Han, Wei and Six Dynasties. Most Yuefu songs come from folk, and the spoken vocabulary is very obvious. For example: Why ask Yi Jun? Dichotericin (Thinking) Wen Jun has his heart, and he will burn it. (ditto) Kneeling dragon asked the old father-in-law, where is the new person? It's better to be a newcomer than a vegetarian. (ditto) Even the works of literati at that time were close to spoken language. For example: He Hanqing is shallow, how much is the difference? A man would rather die than build the Great Wall. (Chen Lin Great Wall Cave Drinking Horses) If you write a book and build a house, you will marry or stay! Newspapers and borders, what's wrong with you today? (same as above)
