Zen: (Zen) The full name of Zen is Zen, Tuoyanna and Chiana. Free translation means quiet thinking. Think quietly. "Five Lights Meeting Yuan" Volume 1. At the Lingshan meeting, the Buddha showed flowers to the public, but everyone was silent. Only the venerable Ye Jia smiled through tears. The Buddha said, "I have a just eye, a wonderful mind, no reality, no subtle practice, no writing. I told Bibi Ye Jia to tell others.". This is probably a general recognition of the origin of Zen.
Nowadays, Zen generally refers to the epiphany handed down by master Huineng, the sixth ancestor. Zen is to understand nature with your heart, to be initiated with your heart, and not to write. Pointing directly at people's hearts, seeing nature becomes Buddha. Break the connection together. The most prosperous period of Zen in history is the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties. Especially in the Tang Dynasty, it was wise after the event to talk about metaphysics from the emperor's literati to the common people. The biggest feature of Zen is to get rid of persistent and common logical thinking and inertial thinking. Generally speaking, there are three main stages of enlightenment and Zen. These three stages are difficult to express in words. I'll explain it with the 17 quotation in Volume 17 of "Five Lights Meeting Yuan": Thirty years ago, when the old monk didn't participate in meditation, he looked at mountains and water. Later, I saw knowledge with my own eyes (good knowledge, people with ways). I walked into that place and saw that mountains are not mountains and water is not water. Now I have to live in a private pavilion. According to the previous view, mountains are just mountains and water is just water. Gong, are these three views the same or different? What are the three views of this realm? It is hard to say that this form is universal. The one in the middle is to sweep away all persistence and see the truth. The last one is obviously different from the first one. But to prove a higher truth, which is the realm of Zen enlightenment. It's hard to express in words. This is a process of negation of negation. It can only be explained by metaphor, not by logic. The metaphor of Buddhism is often the pursuit of results, while logical thinking and inertial thinking are just processes. Compare the results of hyperlogical inertial thinking with the usual logical thinking and inertial thinking. Only enlightened people can perceive and confirm enlightened people. Which is initiation. So it's hard to say.
Zen can't be understood with the usual scientific thinking. We believe in science. Zen people apply science like ordinary people and respect the laws of science. But when it comes to Zen, it is different from ordinary science, because science is induction, with probability as its purpose and experiment as its basis. Based on the outside world. Zen is the inner world, and it is an understanding of the inner world of self. If this classification can only be done by meditators. People without meditation can't understand it. Therefore, for scholars, they can only compare their own experiences with those handed down by others. As for Zen, there are hundreds of Samadhi (Samadhi), which one is your own, it depends on your own practice. However, the study of Zen is nothing more than "Shemota" and "Pi Bo Ashe". There are many stories about Zen in Confucian classics, some simple and some profound. Most scholars prefer simple and easy to understand, and don't delve into it. As the master Kumarajiva said, "Qin people have good houses" (China people like simplicity at the end of Qin dynasty). The reason why the Six Ancestors' Magic Tanjing is widely circulated and loved by everyone is to our taste. Everyone likes an epiphany. I hope you can tell me a way to make me enlightened at once. It's not that simple. For example, when a person asks where the moon is, the Buddha points to the moon and says, "There it is". That man thinks the finger is the moon. In fact, the Buddha is telling him to follow his fingers. The Diamond Sutra says, "If someone says that the Tathagata is blasphemous, it cannot explain what I said." The meaning of this sentence is that anyone who regards his finger as the moon is slandering the Buddha because he doesn't understand what I said. So you can't simply participate in the Zen case. Zen case-solving is actually a great success in learning Confucian classics. For example, Einstein was asked what his theory of relativity was. He replied: "when you wait for someone alone, you will feel that time passes slowly, and when a beautiful girl is with you, you will feel that time passes quickly." This man knows what relativity is. In fact, Einstein's theory of relativity is not as simple as he said. It is just a metaphor to illustrate the theory of relativity. Just like pointing to the moon in the sky. On one occasion, the elder in Wonderland replied to the disciple's question about Zen after he finished "On the Land of Yoga Masters", saying, "I once saw a very famous mage talking about Zen in a Buddhist magazine. As a result, he didn't know what Zen was at all and talked a lot. Very sorry! " It was a layman who wrote to the famous mage and asked questions about Zen. The mage wrote a letter to answer the layman, who thought the reply was very good and published it in a Buddhist magazine. Later, the Elders of Wonderland read this article. (Note: Elder Miao Jing is the former dean of Fayun Temple Buddhist College in the United States. Miao Lao is a famous monk today. He talks about the method of meditation and practice, and advocates the sect of knowing only. It is very complicated to really talk about Zen. There are hundreds of samadhi in Zen, which are divided into three realms, four realms of desire, four realms of color and four realms of emptiness and colorless. According to the service-seeking division, there are service-seeking places below Yi Chan in the color world, there are no service-seeking places in the middle Zen between Yi Chan and the second Zen, and there are no service-seeking places above the second Zen. According to the order of meditation, there are teachers and students who are eager to learn Samadhi, but not according to the order of meditation, there are some who go beyond Samadhi. There are also points according to work, boundaries, weights, nine points, sixteen points, seven points, forty points and so on. The Zen mentioned above is just a drop in the ocean. Let me mention what I have learned. As for the final study, I really dare not say that Zen Buddhism is enlightened. I can only give a brief introduction for your criticism and correction.

However, according to the current situation, it is not certain that he will get a service (the first Yi Chan), no service (the middle Zen), or no service (above the second Zen).
Interpretation of the thirty-three volumes of "On the Land of Yoga Masters": those who seek and serve: because of seeking and serving, there is no fault, and they still seek and serve goodness in the realm of desire; Therefore, it is said that the name is sought and served.
Second, "On the Great Bodhisattva" 80 volumes cloud: those who seek and serve: seek by law and seek by name. Obey the law, and the name is served.
There is a place to look, but there is no place to look. There is also a search for it on the ground. How to distinguish this from that depends on whether he wants to leave or not. There is no desire to leave, even if there is no search, no waiting, and no ending. For example, if someone's sixth consciousness is not active, must it be decided? This is not necessarily true. The baby has no desire because he is physically immature. But the baby hasn't been settled yet, let alone separated. Therefore, practicing meditation is not to return to the state of being a baby.
In the tenth chapter of Tao Te Ching, "Softness makes babies." Chapter 55 "Virtue is thicker than a naked child. Poisonous insects don't sting, wild animals don't catch, and birds don't fight. The bones are weak and the tendons are soft and firm. " This paper expounds the yearning and longing of Taoism for the infant state. It can be seen that Buddhist meditation is not to return to the baby state.
In addition, when sleeping without dreams, there is no place to look for him, but it can't be said that I didn't look for him. It also depends on whether he is free from desire to decide whether to get meditation. Reading (13) Comments (0) Classification: Permission to stop meditation: The most common Zen disease that mass meditators make when they are beginners is liberation. Let's talk briefly about how to treat dizziness. When I first learned to meditate, I couldn't practice meditation skillfully with my mind immediately. Meditators should first know what their Zen disease is, and don't be busy practicing. Because the method is wrong, it is counterproductive. "The most extensive theory of Bodhi Daoism" said: "Those who give up are greedy and distracted, and can be cured. In all kinds of classics, they hate praise and leave their reason. Therefore, since it is the cultivation of knowledge and belief, or even the purification of practice, if you train more, it will be easier to do it quickly and the wise will like it wonderfully. Not only do you stop practicing, you must observe and practice, you must stay away from two falls and practice. " The method of treating diseases is clearly pointed out in Guang Lun, which focuses on training and thinking. Because depravity is greedy, it becomes messy. If you don't want to be deviant, but think with light, it will further promote the expansion of the heart and make it have a scattered heart. It's even harder to stop thinking like water. Annoying thoughts are: leaving thoughts, thirty-six unclean thoughts in the human body, drifting without beginning, thinking about life and death, and being unclean. "Guang Lun" said: "Like dizziness; Cloud:' Why is the cloud dizzy? It is said that madness is divided into two parts, and incompetence is a cause accompanied by all troubles. ""On the contrary, with a certain meditation foundation, the mind is often prone to dizziness, while some Zen people who don't know the reason think that sitting there, their minds are motionless, just like Buddhism. In fact, being sleepy is a delusion, and the heart has no power, that is to say, if the heart has no power. Think bright at this time. At this time, we should not cultivate our aversion to suffering, because aversion makes our hearts inward, and we should also use our wisdom to choose our pleasure, so as to eliminate sleepiness. Just want to have: Buddha statues and other wonderful things, on an equal footing with the sun and the moon. The above briefly talked about the problems that are easy to occur in meditation and the ways to deal with them. In meditation, there are many realms according to different people. If you want to analyze the treatment principle in detail, you must never practice blindly. There are generally two ways to solve problems in meditation. One is to follow a master with meditation experience and ask for advice to solve problems in time. The second is to read through Confucian classics and master the specific problems involved in Confucian classics. This method can also be practiced by yourself after learning Confucian classics with experienced teachers. These two methods are explained in detail in the notes of Pure Taoism.
