Ten years is quite a Huangzhou dream, cold rain and cold night lights.
Pu Songling had a literary name at an early age, but he tried every time. In order to make a living, he went to Biyouji House in Xipu, Zichuan to "sit in the pavilion". After teaching, I sought novelty and wrote Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio. At that time, Wang Shizhen, the leader of the literary world, moved the grave for his parents and returned to his hometown, New Town. He stopped by Bi's home, learned the book, read it by candlelight, and was amazed. After the volume, he wrote a poem:
Listening to gossip, the bean shed is raining like silk.
You should be tired of speaking in human language and love listening to ghosts singing in autumn graves.
After reading the poem, Pu Songling deeply felt that Wang Shizhen was a rare bosom friend in his life, so he wrote back with the poem. Harmony poetry, that is, writing poems and singing with others, can be roughly divided into infinite harmony and finite harmony. Pu Songling used the latter, that is, "secondary rhyme", which was written according to the rhyme in the poem and its order of use. The rhymes of Wang Shizhen's poems are "Zhi", "Si" and "Shi" in turn, and these three words are also used in Pu Songling's poems and songs.
The effect of Wang Shizhen's first two poems is that the book Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio is an absurd story of "listening to gossip" under the shelf of a melon shed and beans. Pu Songling and the poem then wrote: "Wisdom Yi Shu becomes * * * and laughs at it". It is precisely because Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio is full of fantastic stories that people "laugh it off" and think it is just a pastime for people to chat after drinking, which is ridiculous. The person who is even more laughed at by the world is the author of this kind of book. Maybe he is bored with his meal.
At that time, Pu Songling wrote Liaozhai, which was scorned by scholars who claimed to be orthodox. Even Zhang's close friends couldn't understand him, thinking that his creation was "empty talk" and "nonsense", which affected the progress of the imperial examination and advised him to stop this useless work. For a long time, Pu Songling was lonely. "The cloth is bleak and the temples are full of silk", and the poet shows a portrait of himself in the ridicule of the world: after writing, he is still wearing cloth, and the situation is bleak, and his temples must become silver silk! How can you blame the world for not "laughing" when doing such a "stupid thing"?
However, who would have thought that Pu Songling's works, which I devoted all my life to, are now appreciated by an adult, which is enough to comfort my life! Wang Shizhen said two words after giving the poem: "I should be tired of listening to people's words, but I like listening to ghosts singing in the autumn grave.". The writer saw the real value of Liaozhai, and he said: He expected the author of the book (referring to Pu Songling) to see through the darkness of the real society, so he was tired of speaking in human language. This man seems to like Li He, a poet with poor talent in the Tang Dynasty, who likes to listen to ghosts singing in the autumn grave. Li He's poem "Qiu Lai" said: "Think straight tonight, and the cold rain will make the soul hang on the readers. The ghost in the autumn grave sings Bao Shi and hates blood for thousands of years. " Wang Shizhen vaguely pointed out through Li He's story that Liao Zhai is a once-in-a-lifetime cynical work by Pu Songling.
When people get to know each other, you will know each other's hearts. Pu Songling has a feeling of knowing Wang Shizhen. Therefore, he wrote quite smugly in his peace poems: "Ten years is a dream of Huangzhou, and it is cold and rainy." Wang Shizhen spoke highly of Pu Songling in the original song (comparing him to Li He), but Pu Songling could not be directly mentioned in harmony poems, so he skillfully echoed the first poem of Wang Shizhen's original song. It turns out that Wang Shizhen's poem "Listen to the nonsense aunt" uses a sentence that Su Dongpo said in Huangzhou. According to Xia Ji, "Zi Zhan is in Huangzhou and Lingbiao. Don't invite guests every day, don't talk, go out for a stroll; You have no choice but to compete with others, talk about harmony and debauchery, and you will no longer be a tragedy. If you can't talk about it, you can talk about it. Or if you don't have a speech, you talk nonsense. Therefore, all the listeners were absolutely at a loss, and they all left happily. " Pu Songling's poem "Ten Years Quite a Huangzhou Dream" is very relaxed and measured, without any boast. I wrote Liaozhai, just like when Su Dongpo lived in Huangzhou, I liked to hear people talk about ghosts! The word "quite" is a little arrogant, which not only shows that he has made great efforts in "seeking novelty", but also has an air of complacency, secretly returning the last two sentences of Wang's poem, because in the atmosphere of "* * * laughter", with the understanding and encouragement of my friends, I feel a kind of excitement and comfort of success in my heart!
Pu Songling's poem "On a Cold Rainy Night" tells friends that these ghost stories similar to "Huangzhou Dream" in the book were collected when chatting with people on a cold rainy night. According to relevant records, there is Liu Quan (named after a graceful century-old willow tree beside the spring) one mile away from Xipu, Zichuan, which is located at the crossroads leading to the county seat, and passers-by from north and south, east and west pass by. In order to collect creative materials, Pu Songling spread a mat under the willow tree and prepared rock tea. When pedestrians came, they left people to rest, talk about local experiences and listen to people talking nonsense. After listening, he wrote an interesting one. Over time, many a mickle makes a mickle, so I integrated the book Liaozhai. And arranged in the atmosphere of "cold rain and cold window night talk". Naturally, this atmosphere is more suitable for talking about ghosts. At the same time, it also takes care of the situation of "Xiao Suo" in the previous sentence, conveying a bit of desolation, suggesting that his creative career was carried out in a "cold rain and cold window" family and cold social reality, which is intriguing.
Pu Songling has gone through 40 years from Liu Quan's Collection of Wind to the finalization of Liaozhai. This rhyme is a portrayal of his poor creative career. According to Pu Songling, a native of Yitong, Wang Peixun, recalling the past in the countryside, he said: "When I haven't finished writing Pu Liuquan's novel Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, (that is, Wang Shizhen) sends it back every time after reading it, and asks for it again by name, and he reads all the other letters. This is also a word or two, which is a big change. "Later, Wang Shizhen, the official to the minister of punishments, was listed as the ninth minister and continued to associate with Pu Songling. Wang Shizhen's appreciation of Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio greatly encouraged Pu Songling's persistence in writing, and had a positive impact on the widespread spread of this immortal work. Pu Songling admires Wang Shizhen's demeanor of "despite his high position, he will not change the romantic style of celebrities". Indeed, it is valuable among feudal literati.
