In poetry, drama, prose and novel, which literary genre appeared last and why?

Poetry is undoubtedly before the Spring and Autumn Period.

Drama, if traced back to the ancient form of song and dance, had a preliminary form of drama when offering sacrifices in ancient Greece.

Prose, Spring and Autumn Period.

Novels, fables in a broad sense, historical stories and literati notes are all counted as part of novels. If so, the pre-Qin prose will have the embryonic form of the novel.

In a narrow sense, I personally think it started with the legend of the Tang Dynasty. Song and Yuan Dynasties reached a relatively complete form.

In contrast, there are poems (epics), plays, essays and finally novels in the West. (I also mean it in a narrow sense)

I think whether in China or in the West, novels are the last kind. This art genre is the most complicated and difficult to create.
