What is the gap between China's modern lyricists and modern poets?

Lyrics and modern poetry are two different things, and there are obvious similarities, that is, the requirements for writing skills.

But this is only a foundation, and going up is different. Modern poetry, as well as modern poetry, all these aesthetic feelings are only reflected in words. The aesthetic feeling of lyrics should be reflected by the rhythm of music, and at the same time, the aesthetic feeling of music should be reflected by lyrics.

At present, the most famous lyricist in Chinese music is Lin, who is also known as the "two kings" in Hong Kong. 1993, Lin composed the song "White-haired Beauty", which was sung as the theme song of the film "bride with white hair" and won the 30th Golden Horse Award for Taiwanese films. Later on 1996, Lin wrote a lyric "Yours" for Jacky Cheung. 1997 "An Agreement for Faye Wong" won the Best Lyrics Award in the Top Ten Golden Melody Awards in Hong Kong, and then 1998 Lin won the Best Lyrics Award in the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan for his "Face for Faye Wong". He is famous for his exquisite lyrics and has always been faithful to himself in his creation. He doesn't care too much about readers' reaction, and deliberately writes something he shouldn't write to cater to their impression of Lin.

For modern poets, whether in the West or China, modern poetry generally adopts free genre, and the meter and form of poetry are no longer important.

Modern poets can be further divided into modern poets and contemporary poets. The general division is to define the poets in the first half of the 20th century as modern poets. Poets in the second half of the 20th century and beyond are defined as contemporary poets. This classification has been generally accepted in China.
