During Sun Xizhen's war

During the Anti-Japanese War, he traveled to Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guizhou and other provinces and cities to engage in the cultural national salvation movement. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he was appointed by the General Administration of Economic Affairs of the United Nations to be responsible for the compilation of foreign languages, and later taught in Henan University and other schools.

After the founding of New China, he successively served as a professor of Chinese Department in Nanjing University, Zhejiang Normal University and Hangzhou University. In the meantime, he co-edited Selected Poems of Shanghainese with Sun Wang and others, and was elected as the vice chairman of Zhejiang Branch of Chinese Writers Association. 1980: Consultant of China Lu Xun Research Association, Vice President of China Writing Society and President of Zhejiang Writing Society.
