Bailiang Poem, from Bailiang Poem, is a miscellaneous poem written by Liu Che, the emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, in the second year of Ding Yuan (1 15).

There are 30 seven-character poems in the whole poem, each with rhyme and two with tone sandhi. The first one has three or three sentences, and the last two have three or two sentences. Rhyme is changeable and syllables are scattered.

From Emperor Xiaowen of the Western Han Dynasty to Xuan Di, due to the approach of the times and the profound influence of Chu Ci, many works imitating Chu Ci appeared. In the early Western Han Dynasty, the more successful writers were Liu Xiang, Wang Bo and Liu Sheng. During the period of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, China's poems were really valued and developed. Sima Xiangru and Yang Xiong made great contributions to China's poetry. "White" appeared in this background.

As far as content is concerned, this poem was written shortly after Ding Yuan's second year (1 15). It is one of the masterpieces in the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and it is also one of the representative works of seven-character poems and seven-character songs written by scholars in the Han Dynasty.

"Bailiang Poetry" also has its own uniqueness in form. In addition to varied rhymes and well-organized sentence patterns, the modal particle "Xi" at the end of each sentence is also a major feature of this poem. The use of this kind of modal particle not only increases the rhythm of poetry, but also gives poetry a strong lyrical color in emotional expression.

In addition, the rhetorical devices used in Bailiang's poems are also very rich, including metaphor, exaggeration, duality, parallelism and so on. For example, the metaphor of "the sun and the moon are brilliant and the clouds are full of happiness", the exaggeration of "an ordinary person can be an official", and the duality of "heaven and earth are infinite, and people want to reach their ears" and so on. These rhetorical devices make the expression of poetry more vivid and powerful.

As far as content is concerned, Bailiang's poems express Liu Che's ambition and ideal. The words and expressions in the poem, such as "being talented at the same time", "being diligent", "making meritorious service" and "being honored", all reflect Emperor Wu's yearning and pursuit for talents, loyalty and achievements. At the same time, this poem also expresses the strong dissatisfaction and attack of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty on social injustice and corruption.

Generally speaking, Bailiang poetry is one of the representative works of literati in the period of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty, which has high artistic and historical value in both content and form. It not only reflects the personal ambition and ideal of Emperor Wu, but also shows the social contradictions and problems at that time. At the same time, it is also an important work in the history of China literature development, which is of great significance for future generations to study, learn and understand the literature, history and culture of the Western Han Dynasty.
