This sentence praises the noble character of bee's hard work, and also implies the author's hatred and dissatisfaction with those who get something for nothing, and shows the poet's sympathy for the working people.
From: Bee Tang Dynasty: Luo Yin
No matter underground or on the mountain, where there are flowers in full bloom, there are bees busy. ?
After picking flowers into honey, who will work hard for whom and who will be sweet?
Translation:
Whether in the plain or at the top of the mountain, beautiful spring scenery is occupied by bees.
After picking flowers and making honey, I don't know who to work hard for and who to be sweet for.
In the 13th year (AD 859), Luo Yin arrived in Shi Jing, and it took seven years to pass the test. The author was disheartened, and then he saw the people working in the fields, and some court officials got something for nothing, resulting in resentment. This may be the reason why Luo Yin wrote this poem "Bees" to satirize people who get something for nothing.
The first two sentences of the poem are very positive, praising the beautiful spring scenery of bees, which shows the poet's admiration and praise for bees. The last two sentences took a sharp turn, from praising bees for "occupying all the scenery" to lamenting their lifelong futility and little gain. The poet found problems in the hard work of bees and sent an unfair voice to bees, "Who works hard is sweet".
Bees and butterflies have become symbols of charm in the poet's works. However, little bees are different from China after all. It has been working hard to brew honey all its life, making many contributions, but enjoying little. Around this point, the poet Luo Yin wrote such an "animal story" with deep feelings. Its meaning alone is refreshing.
