Poetry in Grade Four: Two Short Poems _350 words

The night is dim

When I was young, I had little courage.

Look at my courage with your eyes,

Oh, it's too small to see.

I dare not look out of the window at night,

It seems that a monster is pouncing on me.

Mother told this brave story over and over again.

But it doesn't help me at all.

What should we do?

Dad has a good idea,

Drag me out at night,

I shouted and cried.

Xiaohua nodded to me:

Tell me to be brave and not be afraid,

Sing happily.

The grass smiled at me,

Sending out a faint fragrance,

Attracted me—

Go ahead.

Ah, what a beautiful night!

Friend, this night is so beautiful!

Don't forget to come out often.

It is raining.

The sky is gray,

Xiaohua asked, "Is it going to rain?"

The dragonfly said, "Yes, yes!"

The grass asked, "Is it going to rain?"

The ant said, "Yes, yes!"

Xiaohua, get ready,

The grass is ready,

Get ready for this sweet rain,

Ready to accept Tian's mother's milk.

Diddada

The Yu Can brothers can't wait,

It crashed underground.

Xiaohua is singing happily.

The grass is jumping happily.

Forests that have rained are fresher,

Plants are happier.

It is raining! It is raining!
