What is the era of judges?
The era of "judges" (BC13rd century-BC 1030) was the era of tribal alliance in which Israeli Jews lived. The so-called "judge" is the trinity of prophet, commander-in-chief and savior of Israel. They are regarded as some people chosen by God and endowed with God's wisdom, but in fact they are kings or military leaders in the era of military democracy. It covers about two centuries from the occupation of Canaan by Israeli Jews (about 1230 BC) to the reign of Saul (about 1020 BC), which is the period of the disintegration of the clan and tribe system of Israeli Jews.
