How to get to Crescent Bay Park

Crescent Bay Park Transportation Guide: Half Moon Bay is 9.7 kilometers away from the Passenger Terminal and can be reached by car.

Crescent Bay, also known as Half Moon Bay, is located at the northernmost tip of Beichangshan Island in Changdao County. It is built along the Crescent Beach, which is about 2,000 meters long, like a huge crescent moon. The main buildings in the garden are a "Crescent Pavilion" that combines Chinese and Western styles with a height of more than 20 meters, a "Guanlan Pavilion" standing on the cliff, and a promenade about a kilometer long. In front of the corridor, there is a 100-meter "stone carpet" decorated with stone balls, which gives the feeling of "stepping on pearls" when walking on it.

The most sentimental thing is the ball stones in Crescent Bay. It can be said to be a world of jewel-like ball stones. They are as white as jade and as crystal clear as amber. No matter where you pick up one, you will always find it. Reluctant to leave it behind. Party and state leaders have visited Crescent Bay many times and personally inscribed poems for Crescent Bay.

In 1979, Ye Jianying came to Changdao and wrote an inscription for Yueer Bay: "In the Yueer Bay of Inner Changshan Island, fishermen and farmers work hard and have stone fields. The high-priced stones produce brilliant colors, but women and children are hard-pressed to find love."; 1964 Dong Biwu's inscription for Crescent Bay is: "When you visit Changshan Island, your mind is very enlightened." Anyone who has visited Changshan Island will have the same feeling as Mr. Dong.

In order to adapt to the growing tourism industry, the Changdao County Party Committee and County Government decided to build Crescent Bay Park. The first phase of the project is to build a new promenade, reception room, shower room and changing room, which are now completed; The second phase of the project will build a national standard swimming pool, build garden facilities, and equip with various tourist facilities needed by tourists.
