In the third year of Emperor Xiandi's Chu Ping (192), RoyceWong fled from Chang 'an to Jingzhou, and at the same time became friends with Cai Mu who had taken refuge here. Soon, Cai Mu returned to his hometown, and Wang Shen gave it to Cai as a gift:
? A gift? Cai? Son? sincere
JiJiFei Luan, carry to the east. My friend Yunlong said that he was angry with his old country. The boat staggered down the river. When the commandant is destroyed, it is not smooth. I admire it, and so do gentlemen. Long road, chaos and many obstacles. Dai Ji Jiang Heng is different from others. The wind is gone, and it looks like rain again. Life is really hard, I hope I can be blessed. Look at the long way, let enterprises stay in Iraq. In winter, the wind is blowing. Hidden scales are in the deep, and geese return to the porch. If you are not a vulture, who can fly? I admire it, but think about it. Looking at the east road, I feel sad and sigh. The speed of the river, so the period of death is fleeting. A gentleman promises not to overstep his bounds. Live and die together. Why send a gift, and send a poem. Mourning in the middle hole, tears streaming down her face. Well, gentlemen, how not to think about it.
Injecting deep affection and sincere friendship into the sadness of parting, the writing is simple and elegant, and the poem "Ya" is won. The technique of "Xing" in the Book of Songs is reproduced in the poem, expressing "endless sorrow and parting" (Qu Yuan's Nine Songs). It is often said in ancient poems that "thinking less about life" is vividly displayed, but it is not limited to this. The realistic record of the natural environment is to hint at the turbulent social reality: warlords have been fighting for many years. The persistent concern for the safety of friends returning home echoes the yearning for their hometown, with twists and turns and euphemistic echoes. The whole poem is calm and reasonable, which shows the author's skill.
RoyceWong defected and took refuge in Liu Biao's stay in Jingzhou for more than ten years, and he was ambitious and unhappy. In the 13th year of Jian 'an (208), Cao Cao marched south to Jingzhou, Liu Biao died of illness, and Wang Shen was owned by Cao Cao, which won the trust of Cao Shi and his son and gave him a foreign title. In the 18th year of Jian 'an (2 13), Wang Wei was founded, and Wang Can was appointed as the assistant general. In the twenty-first year of Jian 'an (2 16), RoyceWong followed Cao Cao Nan to collect Sun Quan and wrote Five Songs of Joining the Army, the third of which was:
Five military songs (3)
Join the army to seek a long way and seek the southeast. The ark is in Guang Chuan, and the twilight is not peaceful. At noon, mulberries have afterglow. Crickets croak on the shore and lonely birds fly. It makes me sad to be pregnant with my husband. Get off the boat and take precautions. The grass will touch my clothes. Turn around and go to sleep Who should I sue for this kind of worry? When you are fighting, you can't be selfish. That is, honor has a task, and this principle cannot be violated.
In this poem, he uses contrast to express his heroic feelings that he is eager to make contributions. The poem depicts the scenery along the way with delicate brushstrokes, and compares the intense and orderly life of the troops, the lofty ambition of bidding farewell to their hometown and restoring their homeland, and the impassioned enthusiasm for serving the country. He was sad but not sad, and made a rational choice in the balance between state affairs and family affairs, career and affair.
Generosity and sadness are the common features of Jian 'an poets, and RoyceWong's poems reflect this distinctive feature of the times.
RoyceWong died on his way back to the north. Throughout the poet's short and brilliant creative career, he described the broken rivers and mountains blocked and ravaged by war, yearned for a simple, quiet, rich and harmonious pastoral life, and expressed his sacrifice spirit of opposing melee and bravely fighting to return the people to a stable life, which was sad and touching. It is a masterpiece in Jian 'an's poetry, and it is not unreasonable to be rated as "the last step of the ancient times". Jian 'an poetry has distinct characteristics of the times. Liu Xie said: "When you look at the time, you are graceful and luxurious, and you are good at leaving the world, but the wind is declining, and your ambition is deep and your pen is long, so your outline is rich." (Wen Xin Diao Long. Timing). Because of his sympathy for the people's sufferings in a turbulent society and his complete expression of his ambition to make contributions, Wang Can was named the "crown of seven sons" by Liu Xie, and he deserved it.
