Scripture: Mt.14: 15-2 1, 15: 32-39.
After reading these two verses, we will wonder why five loaves and two fish can feed five thousand people, so seven loaves can only feed four thousand people. Why can't 7,000 people be fed with 7 loaves of bread, or 4 loaves of bread can feed 4,000 people? Why waste seven loaves?
After these two miracles, Jesus once crossed the sea of Galilee with his disciples by boat. The disciples forgot to bring bread. There was only one bread in the boat. Some people were worried that there was not enough food. The Lord Jesus took the opportunity to teach them a lesson, saying: (Kyle Gospel 8: 14-2 1)
I broke five loaves and gave them to five thousand people. How many baskets did I take?
They answered, "Twelve baskets".
He broke the seven loaves and gave them to four thousand people. How many baskets did he pick up?
They answered, "Seven baskets".
We can make a list here, listing the established facts and possible facts together:
Seven cakes for four thousand people, leaving seven baskets of cakes.
Five cakes were eaten by five thousand people, leaving twelve baskets of cakes.
A cake may be eaten by 25,000 people, leaving 60 baskets.
No bread can be given to countless people, and there is no limit to the rest (Mt 16: 5 says: disciples forgot to bring bread, or there may be no bread).
In the spiritual sense, we can explain it like this:
The more you rely on your own skills, the less opportunities the Lord has to show his abilities, and the smaller his achievements; The less you rely on your own skills, the more opportunities the Lord has to show his abilities and the greater his achievements. If you don't rely on it, the Lord will be fully responsible, and the effect will be even more wonderful.
